  It's challenging, but definitely viable. I've mostly soloed and reached PL without too much hindrance from other players. Just put my work in the Devils Roar

  I feel this game is strongest as co-op. I mostly play with one or two other people. Some of the content can be too tough solo..skelly forts etc as an example. Sailing itself is just easier with at least 2 people.
  
  I've played the game on PC and Xbox (yay crossplay). If you are playing on xbox with a large HDR TV you will not believe your eyes. This game has the most beautiful water with believable physics I've ever seen.
