Not my favorite by far but could be if they did this . . .
ESO - remove one Tamriel and bring levels back so people have the choice to go after high level stuff for more challenge and so the world feels like there is actually some danger. Rather than the face roll system they have now. Rework Argonian racials completely to stuff that puts them in line with other races and actually makes sense for that race! Last but most important! Replace entire combat system with something fun like Skyforge or GW2 systems.
DDO - I'd make it so you there was a small, hard limit to reincarnating for more power.
There is.. so you got your wish.

Lets go with an MMO that I thought was ruined by one bad idea. Which is GW2, I would have just removed HoT, and everything related to it. The whole Expansion, and all that it brought with it.. I would remove from the game.

What is it? I just logged in to see if something changed and I have all my feats for reincarnating, all the extra racial points for racial reincarnating, etc. I also checked the wiki and nothing has changed I cans see. I finished off three races and am on my forth, I have a million more to go and I still have a bunch of class reincarnations to do too.

You hard cap at 3 of any single thing, Race/Class, in fact they have a title for this called Ultra Completionist, takes something like 111 lives IIRC.
I'm only a single completionist, so.. I still have a long way to go.

I explained it wrong. I meant like reincarnating for power three times total or some other small number.
I love DDO, but I can't do end game until my build is finished, and it isn't finished until I get ultra completionist. Look how much power the three racial reincarnations give for each race. That is a lot of bonus racial points.
Even if there was a server that limited all the reincarnations for three total of each type. That way it becomes a strategic part of your build like picking feats. Not something that takes years and years to get through until your build is actually finished and you can start working on gear and end-game. Would also give a good reason to level alts.

For Lord of the Rings Online, I'd get serious about spending money to get rid of the incessant lag. Even on high-end gaming machines, it makes the warden class frustrating to play and mounted combat impossible to control.
Y'know, for those of us who want feeling like we're in an actual world instead of a themepark.
Can't make one single change to the current game to make it better, as there's so many different and archaic things holding it back, but the most notable would be the tech; either the engine or how they're using the engine. It's just so lacking if you compare it to a company like Blizzard and their games.
Lotro - only one minor, not-very-important thing. So tiny current developers overlooked its existence.
Players' Quality of Life it is called.
Legendary items would grow with player. Anfalas scrolls and crystals would be bartered at >lvl.100 regions for local currency, each instance would drop these.
Anfalas scrolls no longer has legacy levels - all lvl.100 scrolls works on all Legendary items on any level of legacy,
Currency caps would be removed. Bye-bye, dear cap, nobody will miss you, do be drown en route to West.
Basic slayer deeds in all regions awards famous 5 Lotro points.
Slayer deeds requirements for higher lvl. regions are reduced 2-3 times. No slayer deed could be higher than, say, 70 enemies.
Reputation items have their lelvel and quest requirements removed.
Virtue points are just gathered, like trait points. No more "cap reached, assigning to random virtue".
Guild crafting is important once again and Guild reputation numbers are lowered.
No more class nerfs. DPS is restored to pre-Mordor level can never be lowered.
Beornings finally have grumpy drama removed: slayer deeds for them does NOT cound killing Bears. No more civil wars, there are always rogue spiders or wighs or heck, swans. Just not bears.
Discrimination of players is over, never to return. I.e. - when new region shows up, it can be played by everyone. No more waiting for weeks and months.
Lessons about Lag Curse are learned: no more big cities, no more over-decorated areas (Lag Tirith, me looks at thee!). No more quests that start region in a very small area populated by half server.
VIPs get all content, except expansions. There are only quest packs and expansions, no more "mini expansion", "macro quest pack" etc. Content prices for cash - they are done bearing normal thinking in mind.

LOTRO needs stat and level squish along with some ability pruning. Just so much bloat all around. The UI needs updating to be more compatible with high resolutions as well.
ESO. Tighten up the code, to get rid of the numerous mining and farming bots. I craft as many of my items as possible for my main and alts. The game requires the refining of raw items to get the materials for improving armor, weapons and jewelry. I don't mind competing with other players for the raw materials, but I hate cheaters.
For Everquest - Put a permanent end to Boxing and Kronos. Kronos were probably the worst idea ever and promote a sort of classism ("What? You can't afford to drop $70 a month for a supply of Kronos to sell for gear and/or to keep multiple accounts running? Then you shouldn't be playing!" is not a particularly uncommon statement on some servers) within the community.
For FF14 - Housing System is good, just need an instanced option available for people who can't buy a plot currently. FC Housing is one way of making it work but we'd like bigger ones too lol. I want to be able to reenact G Warrior vs Sapphire Weapon WITHOUT having to keep the items tiny.
For MMOs in general - B2P or S2P (Sub to Play) are the best options you've ever offered. Stop with the F2P Cash Shop models. Stop designing games that "don't encourage" cash shop purchases in your own words but systemically DO require them (There are two specific games I am talking about here and you know who you are!) due to how your own communities operate.
ffxiv with a action combat system would be god tier,
love everything about ffxiv, with some exceptions like obtuse information and timers and some ui stuff, but the main reason i cant play that mmo is because their dungeons are like 30 minutes of just the most boring generic hotbar spam imaginable.
love everything else about it, all the fan service music, everything.
moved onto ESO because its more active and engaging combat system with dodges and parries and blocks, also the questing is just way better, all voice acted and engaging
ffxiv by comparison is so muted and flat , your character just stands there on the sidelines for all quests and cutscenes
