You know why legislatures have subcommittees? So that they can propose bills like this to make some random campaign donor happy while ensuring that the bill will never actually go anywhere or even be brought up for a real vote.
You know, I worked for a state legislature, and sometimes we would see bills that had almost this exact terminology appended to them by the lawyers or editors.
My favorite: "The legislator knows this is unconstitutional, he just wants to placate an important constituent."

That bans almost every game ever made. I can't think of one game that doesn't fit under thar. Even animal crossing could fit under thar, because you can abuse the citizens of your town physcologicly by trapping them in, or kicking them out of thier house for no reason. Sims would def be banned u can trap people in swimming pools. So that bans all video games, minus like board game emulators haha. Glad I don't live there.
Though let's be honest, there is zero way to enforce that at all. You would also have to make pc, cell phones, and all game consoles illegal. With adding in playing a video game is reasonable suspicion for the police to raid your house.

I wouldn't mind having the debate, but at this moment in time, we've got bigger problems. Video games aren't really shouldn't be on the radar at this point.
I remember telling ya folks if any government gets involved you won't be happy in the end. But yeah, you wanted to ban cash-shops and praised Belgium or something. Now where is that French frog banger, I hope he has moved to Illinois enjoying a game of watching paint dry.
Constantine, The Console Poster

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess this thread will be locked soon; ending in a few perma-bans for some non-factors and a few veteran posters who know better, but their hatred and political views get the best of their better judgment.

I agree with you 100% People seem to enjoy getting the government involved into banning this and that. This is exactly where it leads and it won't stop here. Every time a politician sees some chum in the water, he's gonna wanna go for it.
This is what government's, and politicians do when they have created messes that are so huge, and so deep that they have no chance of digging out of it. Usually self created messes...and let's face it, Illinois is well down that road.
In 2021, really violence is everywhere.....Netflix has hundreds of violent shows....Cable TV has tons of violent shows.....Almost every movie made now has quite a bit of violence in it....The music is violent.....The content in most books is violent.....Practically the entire internet shows violence.....The problem is that it is widespread throughout the entire society and it makes billions of dollars.....
