Really looking forward to this one. Glad they are using "in-game" engine to show off the game rather then CGI hype. While the CGI stuff can look good, it never resembles what the eventual game would look like. And while in-game this far also does not mean actual game play, it is still a good benchmark to shoot for.

Im getting Expanse vibes from the Starfield trailer and that has me very excited. The game that has really stuck with me in a conference that had a lot of missing games was Contraband. There was just something about the atmosphere of the trailer that has me wanting more. An open world drug dealing game set in the 1970's? Sign me the f up

Well you know it will be ridden with bugs and whatever the release date is add on 6 months for modders to finish it.

Guess this also means the next TES is half a decade out.

I cant believe it took them 25 years to make this crappy alpha trailer looks like Star Citizen is still well with in standard development time for space game. /s off

This is the space sim that will fill the void that Star Citizen was suppose to fill. Who cares if it is singleplayer. Besides if modders can mod multiplayer into Skyrim then they can do the same for Starfield amirite?

ROFLMAO They slapped a "2" on their worn out Gamebryation Engine.

"Shows off"they didn't show us anything lol.

I know a lot of people are dying to one day see a really good space type game,to me it is a ho hum genre that doesn't overly excite me.

If it was done really good then yeah i could get into most anything but it has to be really good.
I have already grown beyond bored of al lthe rifle/shotgun games, incredibly overdone and boring,i need to see different weaponry.
So i was reading about this game on anotehr site and again not a whole lot known.
This Todd Howard dude does nothing for me,i really didn't like their BS statement "this world was 25 years in the making"how about NO it fkn was not.

Besides their obvious BS hype crap, yeah it does sound like the Star Citizen that is taking a lifetime to make with an over inflated budget.Guess what, unlike SC this game is going to RELEASE,imagine that!!!.

So get in a ship explore,do fun stuff, welll we will see if there is much gameplay,i expect we might have a decent<<keyword DECENT game to play,I am expecting better than FO which imo is crap and hopefully BETTER than Skyrim which was imo over rated by a LOT.
NO Skyrim wasn't a crappy game,it just wasn't much good at anything,so i got bored of it real fast.

The entire industry is trying to put paint jobs on old games and reselling them.We are in an era where devs stopped trying and are all about fast cash grabs and monetization.
Which reminds me,if there is ANY kind of BS monetization to these games, you might as well throw them in the garbage can.
So far one game and one publisher "Square"KNOWS full well we do not like monetization and made a point of it to tell us "no monetization".

I hope the rest GET IT,screw your greed.

So are you saying it's the same old engine with a "2" slapped on it? Got any more details on that?

This means that TES 6 shouldn't launch any later than 2026. Honestly? I wouldn't be surprised at 2025 release.

It's the same engine Bethesda has already been using for long time, just upgraded.

With that said, it's more or less industry standard that devs with in-house engines rarely bother to rewrite their engine from scratch. Usually they just upgrade their old engine for the new game.
