last night was maintenance so maybe that.

but serious if you didn't played the old one you better let this settle and maybe come back close to november, when they will launch more content, for now with daily quests bugged, havest bugged and look now regional mag are not giving the buffs they did before the maint, you better let it go.

take note too, for now top gear is still pso2 top gear, unless you want to grind like hell for that 1% extra damage on a 4* gear who will become obsolete soon

It's gotten better for me on Xbox.  Most fights damage delays have decreased from before, but there are still tons of bugs. I'm almost finally at level 20.

Gonna give it ago, from what I have read about the combat, this could be fun.

2 hours of story, if that.

    Game breaking bugs.

    Unplayable lag.

    One single region.

    3 skills per class.

This game is a tech demo, not a finished product.

Combat and movement is fun and mostly better than PSO2 (besides getting animation locked now), but overall this game should not have been released anytime soon, and it damn well showed.

Incredibly disappointed in a game I was so excited for. By far one of the worst launched MMORPGs I've ever played.

imagine malding about vpn just fyi pso2 was ip blocked b4, not really surprised by this, just sega things, I just hope with some update in the future you can get shop passes again overtime, it doesnt even have to be as easy as it was in fun scratch, cuz if not big yikes, then I hope they add more features to the premium cuz atm its not rly worth buying

They didn't raise the bar, they lowered it as a matter of fact. Game releases with a big empty world, no content, no quests, nothing, just grind. Even the graphics in the trailer and gameplay footage are different from the ones in-game. I played the game maxed out and it looked really ugly - world looked dull and dark, textures loading only when they are in your face, grass and such loading almost in front of you. In the trailers they showed a bright and vibrant world, what I saw was something really poorly and hastily made in Unreal Engine 4.

Played about 40 min last night, was in the new player area, as thats what I am. Combat is fun but I dont think people will be playing this game for the story lol The dialog is really badly written.

They have two different visual modes, at least on Xbox, one is performance the other is visuals. I went with high graphics and sometimes during high load times players load in as gray characters until all the cosmetics load.

The world looks awesome though, never had an issue with it loading at all. There will be issues when you transition into new areas where you could stutter or lag for a few seconds, but I've never had an issue with the world loading.

Def a way better start to newgenesis than the original pso2.

You're right, and maybe it's something lost in translation. The quests aren't very good. Right now I wouldn't even be surprised if the entire storyline was kind of terrible, but it's still waaaay better than the story in PSO2 cause you couldn't even play through that story 90% of the time. Most missions you just watched what happened between a few characters talking. After a while you'd run a small instanced mission and then you'd be back to watching conversations again.

I know they plan on adding more levels and content by the fall. I really hope it gets here sooner than later.

Honesty feel stupid for buying premium - was hyped up for this release but it was a complete disappointment. There is very little content, a ton of serious bugs, and lag. This game is in beta state it should not have been launched.

Any of you that play it on console or on pc with a controller, did you manage to find a good way to switch weapons or items quickly? It seems quite unintuitive having to manually move one at a time and accept mid fight.

With keyboard I can press a number and the item/ability is used.

So,  yeah,  if you want to use items with a controller,  you have to go one space at a time with the d pad and select it.

Weapons are different since you can muli weapon, but if you want to swap between weapons you do have to use the d pad again.  It's slower than pc for sure.

I think you can remap some of the buttons but I don't think you'd make it any better.

Expected as much thanks for confirming my suspicions. It's a shame really.

The game's UI is claimed to be aimed for console, yet it's quite unintuitive for such a fast paced game.

Phantasy Star on the Sega Master System was my defining video game of my youth. I've since learned it is wise to ignore the crap that comes after and preserve your fond memories. This is also very true in movies and TV.

    You stay sassy!

Vanguard ended up a pretty outstanding game. I was willing to live with the chunking because it had one of the best worlds I still have ever played. I got in late though so server population was extremely low. Oh well, hopefully someone will make something similar. I guess they can't hand it to SOE to screw it up at least...that's what EA is for.

I haven't been seeing much news about this game since launch I think. How has it been almost 1 month in?

Just played it. Graphics are good now & elevates the combat to make it even more fluid and impactful. Loving it.
