Crowfall launched yesterday, and while the MMO seemed mostly stable early on, as the floodgates opened more and more the predictable launch day issues started to trickle in for the Kickstarted MMO. Additionally it seems that some of the issues could be related to what Crowfall's Creative Director reported as DDoS attacks hitting the servers during the day.

I figured since things were up and running, I could maybe see about that name change again. Okay, it's a store item and of course it's the old Xbox 360 theory of in-game stores where you charge $2 for the item, but you have to buy $5 in points. Damn. I buy the points and the name change and get the purchase screen that says "First name change is free, just shoot us an email". ARRRRRRGGHHHH!!! The invoice says no points were charged and I still lost the 200 points and received nothing...
I was able to create a character and that's as far as I've managed to make it into the actual game so far as I keep getting stuck on server loading screen.
I should also add that while watching said streamer blubberbaggins or whatever his name is i didn't see a very busy world, like no animated or scripted AI running around.Even the NPC's were just standing there like dummies with a big yellow ? over their head to give out a quest.
If I had to load the information i sometimes need to load in Atlas with tons of structures, boats,Biome information, water physics, tons of pet/tames along with tons of creature AI running all over this game wouldn't run past 3-10 frames per second.
I mean it is a team that struggled and imo too long to get a pvp game going so i wouldn't expect them to be too good at their job, much like Chris Roberts and his 300+ million dollar cash shop.
Crowd funding is just NOT producing anything good imo.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Come join the fun.. or don't. I mean, it might be your cup of tea, might not be.
I finally finished the 10 gig download, plan to log in and see what is going down. Plan to make a Half Giant Champion... and see how badly the "Big tough tank" builds suck in this game.
It really sounds like something I would enjoy I'll probably try it out.

I've seen some early guild vs. guild action on youtube and it looks decent there..but when I actually played..it just felt really 'flat'. Guess it's one of those things; it will either catch on for you or not. For me, I played maybe an hour or two and it didn't grab me at all.
Awesome man thats what I made. I really like their racial and champions are dps beasts.
There are some issues with what others have said such as movement and animations not feeling impactful but its not game breaking.
Ya that is awkward there is not alot of coverage. Someone said yesterday they had like 10K viewers on twitch. I dont think this game was ever going to be a WoW, FFXIV, ESO. This is more like Albion.
People watching other people play games are doing it all wrong.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
LIVE is going to remain maintenance until Wednesday AM CDT. Please play on the TEST server until then and sorry for the inconvenience!

This isn't a big game its small with a player base no more then 3000.
But the crafting and back end mechanics are really well done.
I backed in 2015 but I'd warn people that unless some miracle happends I think this will go the way of Magic legends.
I hope I am wrong.
Current games;
Star treck online
Rift
Eve online
Firefall
Ok, I'll bite. Where did you come up with the 3000 number?
I was brought on originally for the promise of a shadowbane spiritual successor; that dark full-pvp mmo with siege warfare. We got a clunky-beta Disney version (the character models and art style are horrendous) that was e-sporting it up before release with battle royale modes. Absolutely ridiculous.
There's literally been no hype for this game. Pick any medium or forum you want; reddit, here, their main forums, etc. Literally no one was talking about this game, and nobody cared.
I even said as much during the mmorpg.com official take on the game. It's just brutal when you see something this dead squirming its way to a "release", only to have crash-on-launch level bugs and server problems, despite being ultra-low pop. Screams "mismanagement"
Waiting for something fresh to arrive on the MMO scene...
