Swords of Legends might have had a smooth EU launch last weekend, players on the other side of the pond had a less than stellar experience thanks to myriad issues with the North American server. Gameforge, the publisher of SOLO in the West, has promised to "continue to work diligently" to ensure that players are getting the best experience possible moving forward.

15-20k Players at peek. Thats solid. To put that into perspective Crowfall is about 3k at peek.
How can you talk about end game content just after 2h of playtime? I never played the chinese version, tried beta but did not like it so im just curious, not trolling. I refunded after beta.

That said, yeah, I agree with the numbers on this one. This actually looks pretty good to me.
Well 8 million should be enough if took around 4 years at 500k a year but these studios have to pexecs and investors that want profits in the millions,so i am sure they expected closer to the 1 million mark as that would have net them 40 million minus whatever overhead they have and or business partners.
As to numbers....Is that ONE server?Typically from experience i have seen around 1/6th the total as playing. So if 15k that would equal about 90k not 200k.If there is still 200k active that means MANY are already not playing much as typically we see a mad rush in new releases where players play very long hours.

I think this game is a port of the game released in china years ago? I'm not a programmer but 200k at 40-60 bucks for porting a game is not bad? MMOBYTE game it a good review. I may check it out later when I see more reviews.

he cant... 2hours is like 15-20lvl and barely even unlocks majority of class skills.... probably read discord server discussions from hardcore mmorpg guilds that play most mmos for some time and came to that conclusion, as if him being a casual even matters to those hardcore raiders lol. Content is cleared in all groups in CN/TW, the gearing process for casuals is literally just do daily/weekly progression and acquire tokens to buy high ilvl gear(for ex. max is 375, they get 360-365 with tokens) and then clear appropriate level content to upgrade them to BiS or chill doing events etc. or just raid lower difficulty and upgrade with new difficulty while also getting extra help from tokens. This game might be even more casual friendly than FFXIV with their tome tokens, as this game just gives player-friendly stuff without shying away.
Hopefully they can improve the english dub (do yourself a favor and just select original chinese with english subs, unless you want a good laugh of course!) and get the engine update pushed through sooner rather than later. Those are the two biggies that need to be sorted, especially with New World and Lost Ark incoming.

While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, "give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404."
A friend of mine didn't start playing with me and some other friends at launch because he thought the same. I convinced him that the leveling phase in this game is in fact just a long tutorial (he didn't regret it so far). It is indeed on rails but it doesn't take to long. I leveled pretty hardcore and was done in two days, I guess if you take your time it might take you 1 week.
The thing is, once you reach that max lvl the game opens up like crazy. You'll have so many activities that you'll feel overwhelmed at first.
It's a pity that a lot of people are gonna refund or completely miss out on this one because of it's leveling phase, yet I think it's still nothing compared to the leveling phase of Final Fantasy XIV, a game that I'm playing alone since launch because I can't convince any of my friends to play it because of the approximately 300-400 hours mainquestline.
So I guess it's a small price to pay to enjoy SOLO ;-)
You only see the ones playing over steam, but they also have their own launcher (gameforge launcher) where you can buy and play the game with.
Wizzy are you there, jaded people never learn.
The game is nothing new but it dose what it dose well and is more western playstyle than ffxiv imo.
Also not everyone uses steam to play the game.
Beautiful game and music with a decent story, like being in one of those flying dagger films lol.
Agree but some of the translation stuff breaks my immersion. English voice overs not matching subtitles, some English voice overs getting cut short, some voice overs are several decibels louder then others, some subtitles so long they transition out before you can read them.
I read that as Garbageforge at first.
