It's always great to see Weatherstock in the official news, I remember the old times when Tinki (Morrowbreeze) used to cover it in the LotRO subforum.

    A slight addition,

No need for that, any characters, even those born today for this occasion (out of the tutorial of course, level 5 and above) are fine to join.

Bree is safely available from every starting towns, and from there escorted rides used to go to the summit, at least 2-3 turns prior to the event start.

For the late arrivals there's the less immersive (roleplay-wise) but more convenient teleport, there are captains at the summit providing a quick summon (drop an ask in chat).

And while the summit has level 22-24 handrovals, there's a security detail taking them down every time they spawn during the event, so it's safe to be there.

    "Security Detail" I love it.

Are they also the ones receiving promises from young teens in order to go back and see the bands?

Different kinda security, they protect the audience (especially the lowbies) rather than the bands.
They do the escorted rides, the summons, and keep the area safe.
Not to mention it's a summit, no backstage... you can chat all the band members while they're waiting for their turn to perform.

As for the name, well... I guess Redguard was taken, Redshirts are a joke and always lose members of the away team when they're off-ship missions, so... security it is :)
