Yesterday, Ubisoft announced XDefiant, their take on free to play multiplayer shooter based on their Tom Clancy IP. The first test is set for August, and here's how you can sign up.

    I liked the Division style, so I might check this out for some fun.

    Just because it has the "Tom Clancy" brand name on it does not mean that it has anything to do with Tom Clancy. If Clancy were still alive today, I doubt he would even endorse this as anything he would be associated with. With that said, this may be a fun game. However, I feel that Ubi is just running the Tom Clancy brand into the ground by attaching his name to it.

    After getting into the closed alpha for The Division Heartland, which I can tell you all right now it's going to make all Division players pretty upset as it's just another generic Battleground game with minimal twists and a bastardized take on The Division's third person gun play, I have zero hope for this.

    I'm guessing this is what they decided to go with after that Division alpha.

    Is that the case? I think they are still working on Heartland, last time I heard.
