But the real question is, will there be a cash shop?

    I kid, I kid! I couldn't resist.

Yes but not blizzards...people actually sell hand painted models for it.

The Pandemic board game (and associated releases) has been out since 2008. And you play the part of the scientists and medical staff fighting the pandemic.

I am just glad to see MMORPG.com has not boycotted everything WoW because of an impending court case. The site still follows CoE, so it would be rather strange if they followed one and not the other.

Because "fair" is perception. I really don't see what the big deal is. All of those people protesting in-game...still subscribing. Seems more like a need to "feel good" for doing what the theme of the month is, but not cancelling your game account because you like the game..and why punish the GAME for the behavior of staff, right?

Ethics, when so many have already started apologizing? That's like letting a robber out on bail, guard your cash and private airplane, because he's not been found guilty yet :)

Well if the threads had not been closed I was going to ask the question, how many of those outraged players had actually left WoW? It was not quite virtue signalling in my eyes, because they did the sit in, but it was pretty close to that.

The item about the sit in did pose the question would they be leaving WoW and supposedly some players had closed their accounts, but that was from a very political guild. I would say there, I would only believe it when I see it, in other words some proof please. When it comes to activists I take nothing they say as read, "the cause" is so fundamental to them that any obfuscation or untruth is considered justifiable.

It could just as easily be inspired by feeling a need to do something while remaining within the constraint of what can be easily and quickly done, as well as the belief that an in-game demonstration is ideally suited when protesting issues involving a company behind the game.

What difference would it make if all those demonstrating had closed their accounts? Blizzard's bucket would have been a few drops lighter and they would have been out of the public eye and mind almost immediately after they entered. It's better for them to stick around and continue protesting as often and openly as feasible.

I agree, but that's just what I am getting at, people always say "this is so bad I am going to leave!" and they never do, pure drama queen to make the issue even more hyped up. The celebrities who were going to leave the UK if we left the EU were being rather silly and I am quite certain are all still here bless 'em. :)

Currently I am not playing any Blizzard game so I can  make the choice to not play any more of their games easily.

Knowing Blizzard it will have a mandatory sub with an optional cash shop...They will be pioneers of having a sub with a board game.....
