I'm amazed that they keep bringing 70k+ players every day, at peak.

I did gave it a second chance, which .. to my surprise it turned out to be ...decent. Not amazing, not bad. I think I can give it a 6.

Worth playing it if you have nothing else to play this days. It's free after all, so nothing to lose...except time! :)

This is a good one. Unlimited potential. Honestly...way better than I thought it would be.

I don't know about unlimited potential, but is ..good.

However, the UI is a mess. I understand that is a console port, but still. Change it entirely for PC.

I was impressed too. Who would’ve thought they could turn this one around. I’m only level 15 or so but thoroughly enjoying it so far.

I'm a unique and beautiful snowflake.

ive been waiting forever for this pc launch, i feel its too late for me, way too many games coming out and new content to play and the time commitment of a new mmo is just bad timing.

If you're finding the UI to be PC unfriendly try using a controller. Much better experience that way in my opinion. Over the years I've been finding myself using the controller more and more in PC games.

Any MMORPG I have to play with a controller is not worth my time. Not happening.

    I thought that until FF14.
It is played very well with a controller.
PSO2 is another MMO that wipes the floor with the whole ‘controllers don’t work with these games’ notion, it can also easily handle 30+ abilities/items.

Bless Unleashed is also pretty cool tbh.

    Kyleran on yours sincerely

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'

Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

You don't HAVE to play it with a controller, just saying it works real well. Hell, I play World of Warcraft with a controller and much prefer that over keyboard and mouse. That's the cool thing about PCs is that you can connect all sorts of peripherals to it in order to suit your needs better. Some games I prefer keyboard and mouse, others I prefer controller.

I'm not entirely sure why some people think they're betraying some code of honor or something by playing games on PC with anything other than a keyboard and mouse. But hey, we all have our things. Not judging, here!

They said in dev talk that they among other changes will revamp the UI for PC, But it will be in stages starting from main menu. Its a lot of work to do after all.

Its no code. Using controller is just extremely inaccurate and clunky. Thats why.

Controllers don't type.  MMORPGs are social games; a large part of their appeal is in communicating with fellow players.  Without a keyboard, that leaves the seemingly universally hated VOIP feature to carry this function.  A game designed around a console is a silent, lifeless game.

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

I mean .. aren't most of the games this days a "silent, lifeless game" ? Especially MMOs when it comes to the ..community/communication?

It's not THAT hard to put the controller down and reach a few inches for the keyboard if you want to type something. It's not the most convenient thing I suppose, but then again if I'm playing on a controller I'm doing it because using a controller is more convenient to me. Not to mention most times I'm playing with other people there's Discord or whatever easily available, although I understand some people are uncomfortable using voice.
