Let's be honest the only reason ppl are dling it is becausde theres nothing else to play come sep that game is dead
Would you play a game which you are not ...ding it at all, just because .. "you have nothing else to play"? If that's the case, I feel pity for those who play games they do not enjoy .. just because they have nothing else to do/play.
...or you know? The ones playing it actually do like it. Ever though about this one?!
If they managed to keep this many players playing the game after 1 week of release, then the game will not be dead in september. Sure, it will "slow down" in player's numbers, like many other games out there, but will not be dead.
It will be dead ONLY if Round 8/Neowiz studio(s) will not make the best decisions for the game.
Also, remind me, when was the last time for a MMO to keep, or even grow, players, 10+ days after release. Usually we see high numbers day 1 to say .. day 3 , then it starts going down.
I'm not saying Bless Unleashed is an amazing MMO. It's a decent MMO in a decent time and age for MMOs.

Good for them although for me the headline should be 70K concurrent players not 1 mil DLs since there is little meaning in 1 mil DLs of a F2P game considering Steam's 120 mil users

Yet, there is meaning in 1 mil downloads. It shows that at least half of this are still playing the game. 70k concurrent users are.. a lot, for a decent MMO.

I believe the game is also available from gameforge. The number of concurrent players is higher than that.
That said, I agree. Boasting about downloads is silly for a free game.

Nothing else to play?
Really?
There's a multitude of games out there that people play every day. I personally rotate many games, as I suspect many others do as well, because there are so many games I've followed for years. Bless Unleashed is a very fun game to play! I've been playing it since it launched and I'm having a great time with it. I don't base my decisions to play a game on the amount of noise others enjoy making. So, while they continue to scream, those of us who enjoy the game will continue to play it.

This is down to most players now wanting to play anything fashionable new, if the game works for you great. But I would question what a player base that rotates games and follows fashion is doing to the gaming industry. To me it creates a climate in which we get shallow, front loaded solo games no one is meant to finish or in MMOland and Co-Op ones we stay in for no more than a few months.

If only I could stomach Asian art design, animations, mob design and game mechanics. Oh wait...its a terrible game anyway. Can we have some creative Western studio produce something new and of value.
I'm having fun with it.. and honestly I dont see why everyone here is criticizing it so bad lol now yes bless online was fuked and for good reason but this isnt to bad tbh

How did they improve the game? I am curious what changes they made to make it better. I give the company credit for still trying despite the odds.

They built a new game out of the old games’ assets and setting.
Better performance Improved combat World filled with things to do Clean UI (although clearly not built for PC) Better ‘flow’ It looks gorgeous
It isn’t the best game ever all of a sudden, it is definitely ok though. There is however serious grind and you have to follow the main story line to unlock all options and modes the game offers. I definitely am having fun with it.

Combos are lite version compared to other games. As @Sorvath said it's the title that will ruin it, it's actually a pretty good game.
If you get frustrated with Bosses, sit back and just watch the patterns of the fight then engage.
I did get hung up on the main story, had to take a few pulls to get one mob alone. Other than that it's actually pretty fun!
Well between you and @Sovrath Im gonna spend an evening trying this out. Funny I did buy a copy of this game way back on the first NA launch. I swore then I would not buy another copy of this game and I guess being F2P I am keeping my word lol
Honestly Nanfoodle, it's not the same game.
And if they reused any resources I can't recognize a one.
Having said that, you have to put it in perspective.
I would make a few characters and try them out. The "start" allows you to try out a somewhat higher level character and you can experiment with the combos and some of the skills.
I highly recommend experimenting with the combos until you have them down. While fighting you will get an interface reminder as to what your choices are but it's always better to know them so you can concentrate on what's going on.
Also, pay attention to your skills. For example, I just learned that one of my skills is a sort of "power up" skill where I need to hold it down to get more power over a few seconds. I could release it immediately (which is what I was doing) but you get more damage by standing your ground and holding it.
Which of course leaves you open to getting downed by one of the bosses.
My opinion is that the boss battles and the arena fighting is where the game shines.
Oh sure, it's pretty enough and you will go back and forth between cities/towns but it does feel like a rather shallow world.
I also recommend upgrading your weapon the first chance you get. As part of the main quest line you will experience the first arena battle. There is an npc there who will upgrade your weapon.
Also keep in mind that you will have more skills to choose from as you level BUT you can only equip 4. And before people start screaming "only 4 skills!?!? Worse then ESO!" you have to remember the skills augment the combos.
On top of combos and skills you also have a blessing. You will have one already slotted but as you level you get more blessings. Each blessing will augment a different subset of skills and I sense that is how you steer your character toward a build type.
Oh, and I also forgot that you get skill points as you level so you can make your skills more powerful.
That's all I got for the moment. The main quest line will lead you through the world and it's there where you will find the boss battles.
After you do your first arena you can just match make them and you will be loaded into them.
I find those very fun as it's you and a stranger against a boss. I've yet to have a bad experience but clearly it's possible.
Thats some good info ty. Im not even sure where I could look up information on this release, as there is so much bad info out there from past releases lol
Thanks.
To clarify "the skills work in tandem with the combos but don't affect the combos (unless someone knows something different.)
For example, I slotted a skill that allows me to bring up my shield for 2 seconds and if I receive an attack it's blocked and a riposte happens. However, it can be done during a combo pattern and will not interfere with the combo pattern.
I imagine each class has similar skills.
Also "fyi" there is a lot of gold seller spam because "sigh."
Combos do effect your Skills trigging CD reduction, % Chance Buff/Debuff based on the Blessing selected.
As Sorvath said it's the title that will ruin it, it's actually a pretty good game.
Doesn't the title of the article (one million registered players, or 70k concurrent as some posters pointed out) mean they are past the initial "title will ruin it" hurdle? If they cannot keep those players and retain momentum that's on the game, not the title. If they can, good on them.
If you actually played the game then you would understand that the game is saturated with gold spammers already. So, how many can you actually say of the those Million register players are legitimate? And how does that make a game successful? The article is blanketing the inventible and the OP is not considering it all.

I honestly find it decent. Probably I will spend more time in Bless, without spending any money, than I will on New World, where I have to buy the game. But I think both games will be pretty dead in few weeks.

The UI is still not friendly enough for mouse and keyboard.
The tutorial is still forced.
The combat is still bad.
There are still invisible walls everywhere in the world.
