Last year much of the discourse around The Lord of the Rings Online was one where the community didn't feel as though the team was doing as much as it could to communicate with its players. This was completely exacerbated thanks to the extended downtimes last year. However, the recent push with interviews, especially with new producer Raninia, it feels like Standing Stone Games has dome a complete 180 - for the better.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
I seem to have been left behind at the station while everyone has moved forward.

It depends on what they are expanding. The lore on Sauron dropping nukes in The Shire on a Hobbit killing some Shrews is a bit of a stretch.
It's a game mechanic to add to difficulty of landscape and it is limited to two servers for those who want that kind of thing. You could nitpick every mechanic to say it does not fall in line with lore if you want to, it's a video game. I don't recall anyone in the books killin 10 rats and running fetch quests for people either....
Isn't this like the 8th LI revamp? Seems to me like currency/reputation revamp would be far nicer. Why make it so difficult to get lower level rep and crafted gear that will be useless before you even start grinding?
The difference is this is a video game based on Lord of the Rings. If the lore is thrown out the window then why would I play? If it only becomes a video game then there is many others that do it better.
Well they still haven't changed it, so it's still the exact same situation.
I understand they haven't changed it but I believe they said the monetization will be changing so i can give them a shot i really stopped playing after mordor my wife loves this game and if I want to play an mmo with her this is it as she finds ESO boring.
Somebody, somewhere has better skills as you have, more experience as you have, is smarter than you, has more friends as you do and can stay online longer. Just pray he's not out to get you.
