the game should have toggle aim/block coz it's not easy to aim while pressing/holding the aim/block button. since it's not tab targeting, the game should add lock-to-target for skills since most mmo have ranged dps always hitting the target
I wouldn't mind if they added some swimming animations. Walking in the water is kinda weird. The only point I sort of agree with is quest sharing. Even then I don't think the game dies without it. I'm hoping they add things like farming into the game for houses with back yards.
A mail system would just destroy the different local economies they are trying to create in game by having storage unlinked and travel weight cost....It doesnt make sense for this game.
Everything else seems good...100% should be able to look at my inventory without stopping in my tracks and turning toward the camera for no damn reason at all.
You know that if you sheath your weapon that stops collisions... right? X key FTW!
Even with competitive named mob camping and melee, yeah it doesn't help when your weapon is out but it does help with positioning yourself in the right spot before it spawns.
Anyway those competitive camping situations are getting pretty rare now that the population is more spread out. At least in my server that's the case.
Edit: I see the person above me beat me to the sheath tip by a minute while I was still typing mine But yeah, sheath to stop collisions.

Most points are pretty solid; however, I disagree with removing PvE collision.
I think running through someone breaks the immersion.
In game mail is just fun and sharing of quests is essential.
You're playing a game with area proximity chat.
You're playing a game with armor that has neon colors.
You're playing a game that doesn't have mounts for weird lore reasons.
You're playing a game that already has ways for others to steal your loot. ( While that is not itself immersion breaking, people who don't queue for PvP would consider that annoyingly immersive breaking since I can't straight kill you for being an asshole. )
The immersion was broken in day 1. Just make a simple change that allows people to walk through you, or others will exploit it. It's like MMO 101.
None of these are MUST haves or improvements in my book. Most of these will just serve to make the game play easier and progression faster, which isn't a good thing if you're in it for the long haul.
Some of the other posts have already address the issues with most of these proposed changes.
For "Managed Inventory While Traveling and Gathering", I've seen other people complain about this as well various places, but it has never resonated with me...
The ability to check your map while running is not a valid argument for also managing your inventory. Just like in real life, you can hold a map up to your face and run full speed through the woods. You might run smack into a tree or off a cliff (just like in-game), but you can do it if you want.
But opening your back and changing your clothes and boots while simultaneously running at full speed, come on... Logically, I think it makes more sense that New World doesn't let you do this. Beyond that, it fits this style of MMORPG. Managing inventory while running would likely introduce game balance issues that you haven't considered.
Its Anthem 3.0 (after The Avengers being 2.0), very pretty but ultimately empty and lackluster.
NPC AI is a bad joke and has no real variety, its just same crap over and over.
PVE is bad and looks tacked on because it is, they spent a year trying to shoehorn it in and failed.
PVP is bad, the combat system is garbage and has no place in a modern MMO, the complete lack of flexibility in skills betrays they have/had an eye on cross platform consoles and idiot controllers which probably explains why the combat is so poor. After realising the combat couldnt carry a PVP MMO they shoehorned PVE in which... well see above.....
Its pretty, its not good, it has no depth, the "lore" isnt engaging, the gear isnt engaging and you cant transmog picked up gear appearance items.
Huge miss, I expect most of the servers will be merged in just a couple of months.
Out of that I think the lack of quest sharing to be the most odd. It will especially be a bother for those that like to advance together whether as a couple or in a static group of friends.
<snip>
- Removing collision is... a mistake, collision is great for use in both PVP and PVE battles and gives it a necessarily realistic and immersive feel.
If the writer complains that it took him 3 tries to kill a boss .... it's because he asked to join a party to kill it.
Editor this is a MMORPG, I understand that you are used to current MMOs where you play alone and try to socialize as little as possible, especially outside of dungeons, but here you are encouraged to play in a group and talk to people.
So this is your mistake, not the game's. <snip>
Collision isn't a problem, bad quest design is. The problem isn't that people block someone from getting to the mob. The problem is that everyone is forced to go through the same quest path, and go to this one critical path. In 6 months, this particular mob contention won't be an issue. But, certainly, it doesn't appear that the developers thought about the short term when hundred of people would need to complete this 1 step.
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
1. Mounts 2.Flying Mounts 3. PvP always on 4. Combat that Helen Keller cant solo her way thru.. 5.a more robust P2W cash shop 6.weather effects 7.all Syndicate models should look like Oompa Loompas 8.Mace Weapons 9.Fishing that isn't shit 9.Zip Lines 10.Themed skins like giant pink bears 11.the ability to inflate areas on character creation ... 12.Elves 13.Voxel World... 14. Half-elves 15.Belching and Farting emotes
You left off a "Playable race of Pandas".
Dam it .. Thx .. fixed , and good to see we still have folks with a sense of humor .. ..And then there are the other kids ..
Server queues was averaging 1000+ last week, now, no queues, empty towns. Hmmm.
**Edit - Many basic scenarios/functions were missed by QA Testers? Rush release?

Are you new to launch weeks?

4. Play for more than 5 minutes. You have House recall, Inn recall and fast travel
5. No
What would be very beneficial, especially in a game where your Company (guild/clan/PA) is so critical is a shared Company Storage system.
Most of the bitching I see here is from people that want to solo everything, this game isn't that and should never become that.
A few people have been complaining about the opposite as the game advertised that you could play how you want, solo or with a group. Apparently they were pissed about the forced dungeon grouping for main story, though not sure what they expected in an MMO lol.
I mean, all reasonable quality of life suggestions (even if i don't agree), but as a list of things Amazon MUST change? These are all small potatoes in the grand scheme of things.
Currently Playing: WAR RoR - Spitt rr7X Black Orc | Scrotling rr6X Squig Herder | Scabrous rr4X Shaman
I don't really have a problem with any of these changes but one of them has a really easy fix.
The collision example, I can probably guess the quest and boss the guy was waiting for. The easiest fix for this problem is everyone standing around the boss spawn, group up. If anyone gets credit for the kill the entire group does.
It seems to be like talking to brick walls when you try to get some of these players to understand this. I watched a boss spawn 9 times myself watching people trying to push each other out of the way after I had completed it myself. I tried to tell them to group up, but the responses I got were anything but nice or good. Instead I just stood there and watched them suffer and try to outdo each other because of their own stupidity.
Only thing in the OP list I agree with is quest sharing...they need to add this ASAP.
The rest however are non issues though a slightly shorter CD on back to inn would be nice...you can however buy yourself a house for more teleport options and use shrines to teleport to towns.
Oh one things that annoys me quite a bit is the stupid low storage amount in the shed even if you take all the storage cards it'ss low 1200 lbs is where I am at right now(in windsward at town rep lvl 25) and that is no bloody near enough if you do a few crafting professions.....
Agree this should be a "Things New World Could Improve for Solo Players Early in The Game"
I'm so happy we have a very pvp & crafting centric company to share stuff with but still 2 maxed sheds and its a juggle struggle
Seems like you are assuming things here mate.
While I do like to solo I am quite happy to play with other such as my son furthermore I am in the streamer company, trust me there lots of pvp going on there and sister companies too etc etc.
I don't even craft much just gather mostly and do some alch for gem/potion crafting and a tad of cooking but just simple rations.
Guess what even funneling mats to other people in the companies is problematic because everyone has chock full storage and we are playing the shuffle game more than actually playing the game at times.
Some people need to think again on the storage issues it's not just a "I want to solo everything" problem.
Last day or so before I hit lvl 100 mining I had resorted to dumping my gold ore in the field as there no point in sticking in the AH and no one needs any that I can get to in a timely manner so I dump the gold ore and keep the gems...lol
Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
Anyone else hit a lull in leveling from 22-25?I found out the hard way that doing 'all' the side quests is a big part of leveling. I was under the impression that crafting/harvesting and only doing the unlock and main quests would be the way to go and I could skip the town side quests till later, nope.

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.
