It's looking more and more likely that they will never get server meshing to work at all. If so, they'll have wasted a ton of money and time on something they can never deliver.
Tech isn't there yet, ready when ready means they must be stringing everyone along until quantum computers are more mainstream xD
After the flying part they land on a planet with remote outpost with a lot of StarWars/Mandalorian vibes (Tatooine/North African architecture influence).

I'm sorry but their tech is about as feasible as that BS voxel engine Euclideon was when it was announced.
There is no reason to believe they won't have to fall back to solutions used regularly by other games such as sharding. Just another broken promise.
They've added one star system in the past year and have zero updates on SQ42? I'm sorry but it's easily the most mismanaged video game of all time. And yet the whales keep rewarding them for showing shiny stuff instead of real progress.
Let's not forget some people on the Cig forums were trying to tell me that somehow that a pledge is somehow a donation. I wonder how hot this thread is going to become? yeah know CIG will ban you if you try and talk about laws
So a ship is a product you purchase? by Bubba_Fett_2u
CIG broke their pledge promise about the 890 jump not being an
exploration ship, Your mods ban me for saying that and I had a gang of
people cyberstalking me on the forums telling me that TOS matters and
the 890 jump long with a number of ships I own is some kind of
donations.
Letter from the Chairman: $28 Million! webpage it was promised the 890 jump would be an exploration ship,
There's monthly reports about Squadron 42 development and quarterly updates to Star Citizen live build.
Ah so what exactly did they complete in the past 12 months and what's left?
Why did they keep having to delay it year after year? Do you feel like they treat you like they would a publisher? Are you fully informed on all of the problems they ran in to? Based on what they've accomplished the past year, how many more years do you think it will be before it's testable by the backers?

Detailed information of what's been worked on in the Monthly Reports:
Squadron 42 will never be tested by the backers since it's a Single-Player narrative story it will have a more traditional AAA release where less is shown and testing is done internally to avoid spoilers.
As for SQ42 release, Chris Roberts had this to say last year:
"As I said earlier this year, Squadron 42 will be done when it is
done, and will not be released just to make a date, but instead only
when all the technology and content is finished, the game is polished,
and it plays great.
Because of this I have decided that it is best to not show Squadron
42 gameplay publicly, nor discuss any release date until we are closer
to the home stretch and have high confidence in the remaining time
needed to finish the game to the quality we want."
The MSR comes out gets a bigger bay originally plan. The MSR originally only gets a size 2 guns when it first came out but gets
increase to size 3 guns. Enough fuel for a transport ship to fly like
an exploration ship. However, 890 jump gets features removed like the Kodiak AC Point Defense System for example, and gets
demoted to passenger transport or a useless role-playing ship.
When the BMM came out the cost of that ship was $250. The cost of the 890 jump was $600. However again 890 jump features get removed and BMM gets most of 890 jump features? seriously what is the point of origin ships when origins ships fails it cig adverting?
yup, just an alpha and not even close to an MMORPG yet but some people want to call it a game. Some star citizen backers believe CIg owes backers nothing.
Makes me wonder what would the legal system say what a full game would be? I am sure I word my question wrong.
They can play around with SC until the cow come home for all I care.
Where is Squadron 42?
I’m starting to believe Chris Robert’s is scared to death to release it and the longer he waits the more the game will have to hold up. We’re in Duke Nukem Forever territory.
I believe that if it wasn’t for vanity the single player game would have released years ago. I hope some of the main character actors are still alive come release and the sad thing is that I mean that sincerely.

When Duke Nukem Forever did launch, it was pretty much a disaster and widely thought to be terrible. To this day some folks aren't happy with it at all.

Not enough room for all my things, and couldn't afford the 890 Jump.
