New World Makes Small Update to AFK Detection After Reported Inaccurate Kicks | MMORPG.com
Amazon has issued a small update to its AFK detection system following reports by players of being kicked for being AFK while they were actively playing.
I got kicked for AFK last night, while I was posting auctions. There’s never a queue on my server, so I was able to log right back in, but I’d have been really upset if there were.
"Social media gives legions of idiots the right to speak when they once only spoke at a bar after a glass of wine, without harming the community ... but now they have the same right to speak as a Nobel Prize winner. It's the invasion of the idiots”

I got kicked while actively using the trading post to list and buy several items earlier. Luckily, I haven't seen any queues all week so was able to log straight back in. I didn't realise before reading this article this was happening to lots of people.
It's hard to detect and fight bots and cheaters while not affecting legit players too. There is a fine line to tread in that balance.
I haven't tried fishing or trading since the change went into effect, but I did get booted once at storage for being gone a few minutes for a drink and break.
How dare you take a break during a video game! That is probably punishable by death in some places!
