This was due to Asmongold and other streamers being harassed I assume.

Well if so, then this finally identifies a useful purpose for streamers.

Nah. This has been an issue for a good while, and while brought to YoshiP's attention both times by streamers, it's been a general community thing.

It doesn't go quite as far as some people would like, but it is a good start. Main issue is actually Friends List Stalking, which unfortunately is very difficult to actually address.

Wonder when WoW will implement this?
    Oh never.
When will WoW Token be removed?
    Also never.
    Good ol' WoW.

    Good ol' WoW.

What the heck are you talking about?

The ability to report and block people in FF14 pales in comparison to WoW.

If you block someone in FF14 it's only on your end, so they can still see where you are and be matched with you in dungeons.

I know you just wanted to throw some crap at WoW but you have no idea what you're talking about here.

FFXIV, those new rules are just dumb.

    - The first issue is resolved by when a player is black listed it black lists an account ID (They are too lazy to put this into the game.)

    - The 2nd Issue everyone is paying a subscription I don't really see it being an issue, but if your following someone just mute / ignore each-other who cares what they do (This again is fixed by the company putting in a Hide (X) player button) when player is blacklisted and they are not rendered on the screen (Except for PVP)

Just another reason FFXIV IMO makes no sense, and devs don't want to take the time to fix a game that is broken when they put in new policy and try to impliment something so stupid.

This is also fixed by easily giving players the option to keep (X) player like 5 in-game feet from (X) Player so they can't be bumped or anything like that followed by a mute / ignore it doesn't matter what they say.

Also if the so called stalking or following someone is against a policy due to streaming, I can imagine the real world implications this could have on (X) streamer such as hate raids, or other things If someone gets angry enough.
