Everyday its something wrong with this game, I can't even remember a launch or game with so many problems. Its beyond dumpster fire into the realm of garbage pile of NY city size.
The outages were to AWS the cloud hosting service, not AGS and affected a bunch of games beside NW like Destiny, some Bethesda games, etc., as well as Disney Plus and other services.
Basically anything using AWS in the NA east coast.

<internet> So what you're saying is New World brought down AWS and several other games. </internet>

Yes. They let the same incompetent miscreants from AGS run AWS for a day and this is what they did with it.

Oh so New World wasn't affected?
The NA East coast servers were down for a few hours but no other region was.

Have to say I predicated issues and you don't need a crystal ball to do so, no matter how competent a team is server merges often cause problems. Yet everything AGS say they are going to do is reported here like gospel, take any measures they say they will put in place with a pinch of salt.

Once again you know not of what you speaketh. This outage on the NA East coast was an AWS problem, not AGS. What you're saying basically is that AGS caused your toilet paper hoard delivery from Amazon to be late. I'll let you research AWS and AGS by yourself.
The delay is only a precaution to see if the AWS system remains stable and doesn't also screw up in the EU central AWS or South America AWS while they're trying to do merges since AGS, together with millions of other businesses, also use AWS.
Wait until the merge happens and problems crop up and then you can have your Nostradamus "I told you so" moment.

These are complex procedures which AGS is not in total control of, that's why problems should be expected. They are not in control of players actively trying to find exploits either, what MMO is? That plus the fact the team has not passed with flying colours so far is why I made the prediction and am already calling it. If it goes well now great, but these articles where AGS says it will be so and that's just taken on face value should have a note of caution.

FYI... the two server merge in the EU was done with just one minor hitch yesterday.
The only problem was that companies that owned territory in the merged server, Mardi, were supposed to get 50k as compensation for losing it and there was a bug with that and will receive it in a day or two instead.
Everything else went fine.
The two merges being done today are bigger with 5 or 6 servers merging into one. We'll see how that goes.

The 11 servers merged today went without a hitch. They've now scheduled 30+ servers in South America for Monday.

Ags and aws both are owned by amazon .so it is amazon fault

Rose actually has a point there, the fault lies in the Amazon sphere as it were, but clearly not the NW teams fault.
Good to see the server mergers now seem to be done but are they dusted from what you have said? Hopefully so and the mergers are put to bed.
