No shit... they still have incomplete core systems like territory control. I'd wager that, just like MO1, many of their systems are "still not quite complete".

Honestly.. My God!! You have to have absolutely nothing to do.. I, and I'm being honest, and I would ask all to look at your post history... I don't believe you play anything at all.
the game is amazing.. at this point compared to most. I played 6 months ago and just rejoined.... the world is gorgeous.. the free placed buildings look great..

there is one common denominator when you post.... negative bullshit.
at over 14k posts.. let that be everything they need to know.

Honestly, anyone, look at his post history...then put him on ignore! :)

It's called a difference of opinion, novel concept I know, but accurate nonetheless.

Why do you feel like your opinion is somehow more valuable than the other users opinion?

The other user dislikes the game.

    You like the game.

Asking for others to ignore someone because you disagree with their opinion is little more than a selfish attempt at censoring the other individual, which is the opposite point of a public forum intended for the discussion of differing points of view and opinions.

Nobody forced you to read the other users posts, you chose to do so.

You then took it a step further and decided to play internet detective with his post history, which is legitimately strange behavior for someone who has no vested interest in the other individual and solely deals with them in a limited, virtual capacity.

You also have the choice to do the opposite and avoid those posts. You can also ignore the user, as you mentioned. You have multiple options available to utilize.

However, trying to get others to gang up on someone and ignore them en masse because you don't agree with their statement(s) is the very definition of dog-piling. You wouldn't want it done to you, so why would you suggest that people do it to someone else?

It's bad form, it's inappropriate and it's entirely based out of a selfish desire to only be surrounded by like-minded opinions and never face any pushback from those who have opposing points of view.

    Not cool at all.

look at post history, through multiple threads..
    That is "not cool".
"Difference of opinion" does not equal borderline baiting or trolling to boost post count.
Point is I've sen him/her post on multiple game threads where "they" obviously have no depth of knowledge..
So.. you can be cool and listen to garbage, which is what that specific poster has shown me in my limited experience, or you can suck up the pablum.. your choice..

I think you will in the future. Star Vault is literally killing it compared to mo1.
    Which is great to see.

No, we don't know how it ends. No one does.

Just bc this tiny indie Dev Team from sweden didn't made everything perfect in the first game, doesn't mean that they 1. will make same mistakes again or 2. if they make mistakes again it's on purpose. Why would they do that on purpose, like you and other accuse them of?

It's ok that if they hurt your feelings when you played the first game and it was a let down but i'm sick of all these comments "oh the first one was shite, now the second one must be shite as well".
I never played the first one bc of all the problems it had but i'm loving the second one.

Are they launching the game with placeholder mechanics for core systems like territory control/sieging etc?

If the answer to that is YES (and it is), then you should be asking your question to THEM not me.

    You guys crack me up.

I may or may not have intercepted this email communique from Slapshot to the owners of MMORPG:

    "Dear Sirs:

In the event you ever decide to clean up the forums and populate it with thinkers I have a quick and easy solution you may wish to employ.   You can simply ban people who cite opinions that are different than mine.   This is really the best metric to use to ensure that the forums are filled with people who know games.

    As Always,
    - Slapshot"
While the end result might be true, if you read anything I ever posted you would know that I would never. EVER advocate for banning people.   I hate it to my core.  If someone annoys me too much I can use the ignore feature.   Far better to let folks post and reveal the faults in their logic.

In THIS case:  The article called out incomplete fishing mechanics.  I pointed out that core systems were still placeholders.   The folks from the Mortal Discord popped in... not to refute the statement of fact, but rather to try and bash me.   It's OK.  I'm a big boy.  At the end of the day, whether I post it or not,  the game will still be launching with placeholders.   So back to the poster who asked ME why they would do that....  well.. they are asking the wrong person.  They should ask STARVAULT why they can't launch with all the core gameplay mechanics finished.  Since he infers they should have learned from MO1.  I agree they should have.  Why did they not?

Same, I still have the Jute bag with the statue. I really hoped MO1 would be the new UO back then, and I paid to support them. How wrong was I...

From what I know so far, MO2 is heading the same way than MO1 : nowhere good.

If proved wrong by facts after release, I may purchase it then.

But fool me once... okay. You won't fool me twice.

Exactly.   The free "stress test" I joined was pretty bad.   It obviously needed a ton of work.  If they had a history of delivering on what they said, then I might be tempted, but their history is to constantly over promise and under deliver.

I am quite confident that once it "launches" they will have more free "tests".  I will hop in and see at that time.  But to buy it now?  HAHAHA  As you said... Fool me once...

    You're not fooling anyone, Slapshot.

    Just come clean...

You've bought the game, have been rolling through different builds, taking advantage of the 100x rates for beta, and know what build you're going for.

So what're you going with? What race? Ranged? Mage? Melee? Crafter? Got a spot planned out to build your house? Joining a guild, or going to start your own?

Funny how my one post comment about how they are again launching with placeholder core systems triggered that much of a hate response.  Not at the comment which you can all see was not even slightly refuted in any response,  but to me personally.   Keep shooting the messenger.  If a literal 2 sentence post can illicit such a response... doesn't bode well for launch.

Slapshot:  They are again launching with placeholders for core systems.
Response from fan: MO 1 was a disaster, why would they do what you say?
Slapshot: Don't ask me, ask Heinrich
    Responses from fans: Slapshot sucks

Gonna be a fun launch I bet.

It's even funnier how much time someone spends posting about a game they, purportedly, have no intent of playing or supporting. Actually, that's not funny. It's pretty pathetic.

Re: You feel your posts "trigger a hate response".
Hate is a strong emotion, reserved for things that matter. You're a textbook attention-seeking forum troll. You barely warrant an eye-roll.

Re: No one refuted anything you said.
Why should they? To validate your crappy, uninformed opinions? To make you feel important?

You spam almost every MO2 article with the same ignorant drivel, then expect people will take you seriously? Get over yourself lol.
