BioWare has made the decision to delay their upcoming expansion to Star Wars: The Old Republic till February of next year. Legacy of the Sith will officially launch now on February 15th, 2022.

    Am aggressive set of combat/gear changes, so better to wait until it's more ready IMHO.

    Par for the course for every modern game and update. I think devs need to learn to start thinking ahead more.

    Happy Delaymas! It's that time of year when devs go on holiday break and delay their expansions or whatever. xD

    They picked the wrong month to release this now. Kinda wonder if they thought oh we should wait because of the Final Fantasy xpac. Now it releases around the same time as Lost Ark and the new Destiny 2 xpac which is actually being looked forward to by most of the people that are still playing. This one will hit the back burner for me now till the middle of summer some time.

    I'm good with that. No blood, no foul. I 'was' just about to re-sub, though.. and now I think I'll wait.

    For all of their combat/class changes, though, I just want to play my perfect Sith Lightning Sorc in new story content. BioWare story telling is a treasured commodity in these days of New World 'lore' and such.

    So they are going to compete with GW2 End of Dragons... not sure how smart that is.

    Don't have a problem with delaying, really looking forward to jumping back into Swtor with a Jedi v Sith storyline again. Yet, I do have a problem with waiting till it's less than a week out to do so, lame.

    I don't think any dev wants to miss holiday season on purpose and from what I've heard from the test realm they really need a bit more time for tuning so personally I am absolutely fine with the delay but unfortunately, as you and others stated, they will have a lot more competition in february. I just really hope this will still be a success

    (Personal positive sidenote, now I'll have enough time to finish the main questline ^^)

    I subed so that i can play the new expansion.
    I feel screwed, they could tell us sooner that there will be a delay.

    I too subbed just to return for the new expansion. Now I'm stuck with two months of game time for a version of the game that made me quit in the first place.

    well you should not had subscribed before 15 december .as expansions these days do get delayed
