    Hmm these lore crossovers never sit well with me, using lore like this turns the lore into an advertising space.

    They've done a number of Twitch Drops already as well as Prime Gaming claims since the game went live. This is just a crossover with another of their properties, doing something they already allocate resources to do anyhow, and not really a diversion from bug fixing or development. Pretty sure the people making the skins aren't the ones working on code, but that's just speculation.

    Good for those that are into it. As for it being an advertising space: If you didn't expect that as soon as Amazon's name was on the label, I don't know what to tell you. That coupleD with lore not really beING a strong point in New World and I don't think it's that big a concern. Had LoTRO done this, then sure, that's a different discussion altogether.

    Wheel of Time series is good. I welcome the new skins for New World. I'm still enjoying the game at 300+ hours in. NW is not my definition of a bad game, sure it's hit some bumps in the road but I still enjoy the game play. The bugs have not affected me much.

    Both WOT and New World are Amazon products, so this isn't so much a crossover as it is self-promotion.

    Not just that, the WOT drops are very consistent with the game's armor and weapons art work. They could have been added as new skins without mentioning WOT and no one would have clued in. The Children of the Light robe especially could have easily been a Covenant faction store item.

    How so? The streamers get a cut of the ad revenues based on both subs and viewers. Whether you actually pay attention to them or just idle their stream on a back tab you count as a viewer and it ups their share.

    How so? The streamers get a cut of the ad revenues based on both subs and viewers. Whether you actually pay attention to them or just idle their stream on a back tab you count as a viewer and it ups their share.

    Not being a Twitch streamer I'm not sure how to answer that. Any streamers here want to chime on how you feel about this?

    If there's a proof that being a blind hater turns you into a clueless person, this is it.
    I have all the twitch drops for the game, and I never watched more that 10 seconds of a streamer, just the time to set up the channel and alt-tab it in background.

    I disagree I'm a blind hater at all. I own, played the hell out of, and deeply enjoyed New World. I even defended it on these very forums. And then all the bugs, exploits, bots, and knee jerk reactionary patches that just broke more shit, and an incredibly shallow end game, beat my joy of the game to death. I have hope that in time they will turn the game around, but so far I'm not seeing much from AGS that will make me want to return to the game any time soon. And little things like this just pour salt in the wounds.

    Thumbs up to the Trek quote. While that film is corny as hell I can't help but be enchanted by it as you could tell the entire cast was just having one hell of great time filming it.

    And sorry but I just find being able to get rewards by not actually viewing someone's hard work to be rude, and makes the whole thing a bit meaningless. It reminds me of the Murph and the Magictones, Holiday inn scene from the film the Blues Brothers. The band is playing their heart out and no one in the lounge is even acknowledging their existence. I don't think I'd enjoy my hard work being ignored even if I got payed for it. But hey that's just me. Merry Christmas, or whatever.

    I've watched them all. I loved Rosamund Pike as Moraine - perfect mix of good and scary as Aes Sedai should be :)

    The only people who seem to dislike it are the book lore fanatics. Me? I read the first 7 books but got bored (and confused with the hordes of side characters) many years ago as they were being written and released. I remember just the gist of the early books so I wouldn't know a faithful adaptation if it bit me on the face.

    I really enjoyed the season.

    its not going to be some nice robes that save new world. their winter meteors are really nice, flying in and exploding into fragments.
    but as a casual player this game is all but dead there is just not enough interesting content in the 1-60 levels it is only about 10% where it should be.
    people are leaving already and I sustect more will leave in the next few months after the new game newness wears off.
    I am no level 50 and I still only have a t3 camp which is bairly useful.. and I have NO AZOTH STAFF AT ALL.... BUGGED? i PLAYED ALPHAS, PREVIEW, AND BETA.
    MY RECOMENDATION RIGHT NOW IS HOLD OFF FOR 6 MONTHS OR A YEAR AND CHECK BACK THEN.

    make a world, not a game, we dont want another game.
