Tencent has to make plans to expand its portfolio and continue making cash, even if China isn't going to reliably let them release new games.

It makes a lot of sense they'd look to expand IPs that are popular in the West rather than the East right now.

My bet is that it's the multiplayer game they already annouced. The PVE co-op game that takes place in the Control and Alan Wake universe that sees you and three other people try to contain a OoP or Objects of Power

I also think that. Something from the universe of Alan Wake and Control but gameplay wise more like Phasmophobia where you go around and complete certain tasks with your friends.

Remember Vanguard guys? That's was an interesting little MMO, shame it wasn't given the due service it required.

It's a shame Brad McQuaid (RIP) dropped the ball on that one.

It was his Magnum Opus and one of my biggest disappointments. I've never wanted so bad for a game to succeed.

Tencent is the entertainment division of the CCP. It’s disgusting how many western companies allowed Winnie the Xi’s Communist Party to influence business in democratic countries.

I'm guessing that they paid each other to call themselves experts.  (Through their cash shop, of course).
