    i want to play male version of demonic, will main the female version with a paladin alt probably
    most people dont realize this game is exactly like BDO where you need alts of every class, and you will be buying character slots as they keep releasing new classes , so picking a main doesnt really matter

    I wish the game had the trinity class role structure. Having no healer, or tank kind of kills dungeon experiences for me since shit ends up being all over the place, similar to GW2 dungeon experience. Its a mess.

    They really need to let people know that you will be starting at level 10 as soon as you log in. They removed the 5 base classes really, you go straight to your choice of what you want to play. Sucks as I enjoyed the class arc for beginning but it does let you get straight to the game faster, especially if you are a alt person.

    Been racking my brain trying to decide if I want to go the safe route and choose one of the high dps like scrapper which is about as easy as it comes, or go support with the pally which takes more time but can pretty much be needed in anything. Not going to be making tons of alts as I plan to just have fun and play and not try to race to do stuff.

    There still is, just not in a way that a class can't self-sustain the content themselves. The class itself is not locked to an objective but you can do the build to be more support, offensive/etc.

    Top level content will want support roles as bard and paladin.

    What do you /need/ the alts for? Just curious.

    gold grind, currency grind, dungeon loot grinds , everything is limited to character runs a day / week , like BDO if you tried to only play 1 character. also account based progress stuff, like BDO or BDO mobile , more characters means more progress

    I had a lot of fun trying Berserker in the Beta last Fall. 

    I am definitely concerned about Pay 2 Progress features and so will play pure F2P and decide what to do after hitting endgame and seeing how I like it.  I will play it casually as I think Last Epoch will be my goto ARPG once multiplayer arrives.

    I'm also not a fan of time gating in ARPGs, although they were fine in the more casual Marvel Heroes MMOARPG.  But Lost Ark will have a lot more try-hards and feeling left behind is quite possible.

    So far the game most likely to pull me out of ESO this year.  Probably will wait a few months post launch to let things settle down a bit.

    I see the Founder's packs are sold on both Amazon and Steam, but the game can only be played via Steam. Not optimal but at least it's not an Epic Store exclusive.

    I do like how clearly Amazon calls out the absurdity of the oxymoronic monetization models we deal with today.

    ”Paid DLC for a Free to Play Game"

    Oh well, that ship's long since sailed, at least there's no NFTs to pre-order, perhaps they could even promote it with somthing like "100% NFT Free".... sort of like is done with MSG.

    I'll probably try it, but I have to confess I am not eager for an isometric game. I prefer 3-d worlds.

    I played a lot of Baldur's Gate, etc, and isometric was great then. But when I fire it up today, I just can't get into it.

    I absolutely cannot see the appeal in this game, most of all due to the top-down perspective and locked camera.

    Come on... even relics like Silkroad Online, Lineage 2 and Metin2 allowed you to tilt the camera in 360° to be able to see the sky and the horizon.

    And a top-down game where you can barely see 2 meters around you has a mount system...

    I don't want to appear like I'm hating on the game, but I even played the Steam Beta and was so bored I could not pass the tutorial.

    Why is this game so appealing?!

    There is literally no reason to "wait a few months" because 1) Is free 2 play and 2) The game already runs very smooth and there will be little to no real problems on the launch day ...except of course, for "full servers" ( I think ).

    I hate "full servers" and my guess there will be some initial problems.

    As you said, F2P, hackers and exploiters will be out in force I'm sure.
