You played a game and found something that is of value to someone else, who presumably wants to "win" enough to spend extra cash to get the things he hasn't gottem himself for whatever reason.
He was the wallet warrior buying some P2W item and you were the P2W item sales person,
You basically did what Chinese gold farmers have been doing for years and you're tickled pink about it. Grats?
Why are we even upset about this tho? 3rd party RMT trading of pixels has been going on since the 90's.
This is not some new thing.
The Battle cry "P2W" only started when the game company itself started to sell them items, thus making the money to support the game and cutting out the shady resellers, no doubt, the biggest, loudest, criers of P2W, were made by the gold farmers and the people that were RMT already anyway.
Hard reality check.. fuck them.
Fuck them.. and fuck the people that bought from them.
The RMT/gold farmers/assholes set this course decades ago, when they first opted to sell their game wares for money, and refused to back down from their right to do so.
So, as opposed to fight them, we have slowly changed the game to eliminate them. Perhaps not, I am sure with the new system, they will continue to do what they have always done, now just needing to play by the rules.
But that does not change that where we are now, is their fault, and their fault alone, not mine, not BC's, not even the game companies.
All of us are just adopting to the situation, that have been thrust upon on, for years on end, but they were the ones that started this, they were the ones that fought for years and decades to make their bits of money, just like hack program sellers, and the like, their greed led to this direction.
BC now being able to make an honest buck, by selling an honest, secure product, to fellow gamer, who is assured to get their product, all simply by playing the game as intended, in an honest manner, .. does not in any way, equate him in any way to some gold farmer that was fucking the system, selling their shit on same black market 3rd party site.
So to you the one and only problem with P2W in gaming is whether it's shady or sanitized and official? LMAO
There's not going deep into subjects and only looking at the surface but you're not even at the surface yet,
The Diablo 3 Real Money Auction House would like to have a word with you. What a lovely way to play an ARPG that was... not.
Their are other issue I would have with the system, and a lot of that revolves around how the game handles fairness, and the like, and also the fun factor. I could write quite a bit about this.. but won't.
As for the RMT in Diablo 3, I never played DIII, Diablo I and II, did not thrill me that much, and seeing the shit storm that unfolded with III, was a helpful reason why I never stepped in.
But I also can't say I am the least bit surprised that happened either, the Diablo franchise has been a nesting ground for cheaters, hackers, and assholes since it was first set up in battle.net, all those many years ago.
It never suddenly became a better place or attracted better people.
As such, the fact that when given half a chance to make a buck in game, a bunch of greedy fucknuts swarmed the RMT auction house, was a surprise to no one that played the previous irritations online.
Egotism is the anesthetic that dullens the pain of stupidity, this is why when I try to beat my head against the stupidity of other people, I only hurt myself.
I care about my Grandchildren and the world they live in.
Maybe if you lived in a place like I do, you might be able to understand.
Peace and a Happy New Year
How the fuck do you connect nft/blockchain and gaming , to how anyone cares about there grandchildren and the world .. lmfao seriously
I donated 80k to children's cancer research at xmas , 50k to clean water act this year alone . I purchased 100 xmas gifts this year that are gifted to children who's parents/parent are incarcerated .What have you done .. thsts how you protect your future and children , not by fucking support of blockchain gaming ..Get a grip on yourself

Well just a quick blurb about how the P2W RMAH on Diablo 3 worked before they got rid of it.
1. Players sold the loot they found to other players for cash. 2. Blizzard handled the transactions and took a cut from the transactions but sold nothing there themselves (unless they were posing as players on the side which is entirely possible lol) 3. In order to make that RMAH work they clamped the drop rates to make them rare enough so that players would buy them for cash,
Players left in droves because the drop rates made playing the game a pain in the ass and nothing like the grind to drop ratio they had come to expect from ARPGs
Any of this sounding familiar to you from reading all the NFT and BC game posts that have flooded these forums lately?

I stand by what I said.. too many greedy fucknuts went in with some illusion they were gonna make millions on the Now Legit, RMT, no doubt fueled by their own ego at how great a gamer they are,.. realized it would take some actual work, and they were not going to make bankroll, or be the kindpins of the Diablo-III universe, and like the little bitches they are, quit the game in droves.
Then, if the normal MO is correct, they all ran to every social media outlet they could find, lambasted how much the RMT sucked in the game, and they could not farm, buy, or sell anything, no doubt, screamed P2W, blamed Blizzard, Casuals, and no doubt Gold Farmers who were in fact outstripping them and under cutting them on the Auction House, to distract from their own greedy ass motives, to anyone that would listen.
That about sum up that ordeal?
I imagine that once this Blockchain goes a bit more public, that will happen as well, to some extent or another, you really can't mix vanity, egotism, greedy, and games, without some level of mental anal vomit hitting the scene.
Just like some people bought KS packages for some of these MMO's with dreams of being able to sell their packs for big money, and getting all kinda of butthurt when their few hundred dollar investment didn't become the millions they were hoping on.
But I wager over time it will become more like comic book collecting, or Collectable Cards, you will have a lot of people that get into the scene trading, they will make some money, but they will need to be on top of things to make it happen, there will also be shady as fuck people getting into it as well, like some shady AF comic book stores that existed (Not sure if they are still a thing) and you will have some people who will have what amounts to a fortune, not because they want a fortune, but for love of the medium.
Egotism is the anesthetic that dullens the pain of stupidity, this is why when I try to beat my head against the stupidity of other people, I only hurt myself.
You know, Bcbully suddenly changed overnight from that guy who stuck up for PvP to an obsessed P2E fan. It did cross my mind could he have just decided to up the post count on MMORPG.com and come up with the idea of pro P2E? If so it has more than worked!

I added and evolved. I'm playing p2e pvp games.
The only thing that has changes is we have something to talk about around here now. We all know the legacy gaming companies haven't given us anything new to talk about for years.

I disagree, we have had classic etc, but I don't disagree that much; instead I would say "they have hardly given us anything to talk about for years". But can you see that when what we get to talk about that is new is a financial model rather than new gaming models I am not exactly going to be overjoyed?

You could call it that, I reserve the right to disagree though.

I hope Bcbully has not been banned just because he is a rather obsessed with P2E and should have posted some topics in different areas. I have hardly been able to follow all his posts mind you.

Agree. You know my feelings on the subject. Someone annoys you, use the ignore button. This whole "winning" by trying to ban people is really sad, and ultimately results in accelerating the death of an already dying community.
I didn't agree with 95% of what he posted, but if he never posted then those discussions would never have happened, and that just makes the community less.

Gods help us.
I don’t believe it will get there though. Us old timers seem too be a lot more keen on it then the younger generation.
The propaganda machine is sure pumping away though. Too much money with no place to go and they only want more.
