2022 Resolutions

I'[m a bit surprised that no one has already started a New Year Resolutions thread yet, so I guess I will.

What gaming-related resolutions do you have (and intend to keep) for 2022?

I'm going to stop following threads related to Star Citizen.  Those devolve into endless back-and-forth arguments that never address anything meaningful.  If it's longer than 2 pages, I'll just pass.

Likewise, I will try to stop reading, responding or replying to any NFT/Crypto/P2E threads.  I'm not interested in joining a religion, especially one so concerned with how it's funded.  If a game appears out of this mess, especially one that interests me, I may comment on it, but that really doesn't seem likely to happen anytime soon.

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    Well regarding resolutions I wanted this year to be a 4K/FPS 8K/30FPS but unfortunately it is not going to be that easy. PS exclusives might offer that but that's about it.

    I tend not to make gaming resolutions as they're so dependent on what gets released.



    If I was being good / healthy, I should really spend a lot less time on gaming sites, especially here. I waste a good few hours a day reading gaming sites, mostly here and MOP. However, I find less and less stuff that interests me, and I often find myself writing out long replies to posts but them deleting them without posting.

    It has definitely become a habit, rather than a genuine interest.



    But, I lack discipline, so I expect I'll be around a while longer!

    1. I'm gonna sub to Disney plus soon and get caught up on all the Marvel stuff and Star Wars stuff I have missed since it's launch.

    2. I'm also gonna hope that New World gets it's act together this year and fixes some bugs and adds new content before I get bored with the game.

    3. I'm gonna start playing ESO again this year!

    I am going to take more stupid walks for my stupid mental health.

    I am going to spend mor hrs  in game then chain smoking and look at the roof.

    I am going to spoil the shit out of my ex gf who just ended a 5 years long psykosis. Well just stay friends this time around. Suddenly losing her fucked me up real bad last time.

    Oh and I am going to post more and Lurk less.

    I may be mad as a hatter but I know a thing or two about gaming.

    I'll set one obtainable life resolution. Sticking to my diet.

    As for gaming resolutions:

    * Finish more games. At a minimum, Tales of Arise, Persona 5 Strikers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Scarlet Nexus.

    * Wait for discounts, except for games I strongly want to support.

    * Don't support any games that add NFTs or cryptocurrencies, even if I was already playing them.

    * Don't return to Genshin Impact or pick up any other gacha games. Bad for the wallet, bad for the schedule, bad for the mental health.

    Good one Lahnmir... I'll take yours... my steam and origins library has about 30+ blockbuster games I haven't played...

    Why do they keep sending me these awesome deals that compel me to buy! >:)

    I already failed... Steam Winter Sale :*

    Picked up (based on the other thread of greatest games): 

    -Fallout 4 + all DLCs
    -All Bioshocks + all DLCs 
    -Alien Isolation + All DLCs

    $40 total

    Then I had to get off Steam before I kept shopping. :D

    I've already finished Tales and GotG, and I'm partway into Scarlet Nexus. This pace of game clearing is unusual for me, so I'mma have to flesh this out some.

    Additional backlog games to finish:
    * Langrisser II Remake
    * Ys 9: Monstrum Nox
    * Trails of Cold Steel 3
    * Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE
    * SMT V

    2022/23 Games:
    * Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons
    * Gotham Knights
    * Triangle Strategy
    * Suicide Squad

    Crapola!  I went and broke both my resolutions today by posting on an NFT and a Star Citizen thread.

    Still, I made it into February.  That's about 3 weeks longer than my usual resolutions.
