Garrick got started in Mortal Online 2 in the waning days of the beta and is pretty excited to try his hand at the full launch later today. Here are his initial thoughts from the experience in our first review-in-progress of Mortal Online 2.

This is why its such a huge deal that they launched without the territory control and sieging etc... There is nothing really to do other than develop your character and kill each other. And even if you just want to do do some PvE, there will always be utterly bored roaming groups that want to hunt you for prey. Now, some of that will ALWAYS exist in FFA PvP games, but it's going to be magnified by once again launching in an incomplete state, lacking the end game territory control.
I think the most telling statement is the discussion from yesterday's live stream. When asked what population would make the game seem too crowded:
"People will be too busy murdering each other for it to feel over populated"
Anyhow, looking forward to your full review and I'll give it a shot when it opens free trials.

Yes, not everyone RPKs (random player kills)... in fact their are large guilds that claim (not mechanically yet, but in role play) large areas of land... they are specifically anti-rpk (they actually hunt rpk'rs and will return your gear).
I suggest to the writer and players that want a better experience for solo... go to the official forums>> guild and politics section. Start in a city/region controlled by large guild alliances of Anti-RPK. Join them even, but at a minimum you can solo a lot more safely in those areas (unless you commit RPK yourself ).
Also, you can get to know the guild names in order to report RPKrs in their region (they will mercilessly hunt them down... it's actually fun content for them ).
100% agree, I hope they implement territory very fast or they will lose players in a few weeks. Also, I didn't read... did they implement the fully fleshed out reputation system?
Some of these wouldn't be as pressing issue if it was BOP... but this is Box + Monthly sub model.
Back then, there were a lot of refunds needed due to the not launching as advertised.
Well, I might try it in a year or so, that's probably the time they need to implement the basic gameplay that the game should have launched with.
Also, might be B2P/F2P by then.
In another thread you mention Hendrik said the server can scale up to 100K players...
Now reports of server queues with just 7K trying to play.
A queue is in place, when too many ppl try to login at the same time. Not necessarily when the server is full.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
My first short review is that Mortal Online 2 has an insane development team that drives energy in creating an immersive 1st Person Sand Box MMORPG. Super Hardcore if you are into Reputation, Faction and Economy Building. Ask more questions about the game or try it out but please stop commenting to kill a community because you can't finger paint your miniatures. Jelly Trolls NOT invited! This is not a Chad Party!!
OK...
I must admit that I am kind of disappointed that you never came through with that key to try the game that you said you'd ask your friend Heinrich about.
But good luck. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out over the next few weeks.

On Jan 9th.. just 2 weeks ago you said this: "Yes please, bring the reviews. It's a welcoming perspective to have from every gamer globally."
Now you just saw a brief pre-review, do not like it, and start yelling that the author is biased and apparently.. a Jelly Troll.
You would be better served by explaining WHY you have a differing opinion to the reviewer, giving specific examples... but.. I guess carry on however you see fit.
PS: Here is where you said you would ask "your friend" Heinrich for a key for me

Thanks for reading the review in progress though - the PvP aspect of this is something our reviewer is going to be looking at closely throughout his time with the MMO in the coming days and weeks. We take our time with these, in case you haven't noticed that our reviews tend to release weeks after launch instead of days like other sites, in order to do our due diligence here.
I've only just started playing MO2 myself right before the beta servers went down and I'm looking forward to jumping in even more for coverage/editorials outside our regular review. What concerns me is what many in this thread have echoed: RPK for RPKing-sake isn't necessarily going to translate to a robust population over the coming weeks and months. The territory control aspect that gives the open-world PvP its structure is really needed to, well, give it structure I feel. It'll be interesting to see how it unfolds in the coming weeks for sure.
Reputation and Faction are an attributed skill and style you possess in the Game of Mortal Online 2. Lots of fun, these guys are insane and dedicated towards bring creativity. Discover the Mysteries
Just a suggestion/request.
... So yes Europe. "Psst!! Brexit you daft twat!" ... oh yeah ... London then.

When I was playing Mordau, its community was dreaming of a MMO with a similar combat system...
I have just JuST started playing, so can't really review. I will say that I'll be at the zombies for a bit to get used to combat.
