I'll explain it further so as to remove the confusion: Children are not MATURE enough to make certain decisions properly. This is why there are LAWS about selling alcohol to someone under the age of 21 (although I will argue that 21 vs 18 for certain things is silly. If we can allow someone to sign up and go fight a war then that person should be treated as a full citizen. Whether its 18 or 21 I do not really care about, but alcohol, voting, joining the army... these should all be the same age). But anyway it's honestly SILLY to try and argue that there is no difference in the maturity of a child and an adult. It was a "like" to a post... if I had to post 3 page expositions for every time I reacted to a post here to explain things well.. I think that would be a pretty bad example to set.
I also think you are confusing me with other people to because I cannot recall any conversations about Destiny... and while I spoke a lot about New World have no recollection of our interactions. Not saying we didn't interact but it certainly seems to have stuck with you more than me...But that goes along with:

Not going to get into the cut and paste but it's pretty clear that @Wargfoot was discussing these people complaining about LOST ARK to which we have a direct response.
But you know what... if at the end of the day we ALL AGREE that it's silly to call someone an incel simply because they posted some stupid shit on a gaming forum then that's great progress. If Klash really didn't mean it then thats great and we can all move on to discussing the idiot posts made by individuals instead of some boogyman groups that apparently have zero to do with Lost Ark. Nothing wrong with that thought process. There are businesses in both Asia and NA that just wouldn't resonate on the other continent, and trying to force it is just a bad business plan.
Don't look it up. It's not worth knowing. Just let them languish outside of your awareness. It truly is better that way.

Did you choose fine arts as your major?
Do you spend the majority of your free time hanging out on the internet, masquerading as an intellectual?
Do your parents pay eighty grand a year for you to be indoctrinated by left-wing, liberal professors and receive almost no education whatsoever?
If the answers to all of the above questions are no, then that's why you've never heard of the term. If the answers are yes, then good luck and god help you - you'll need every bit of the support.

It is worth repeating, in light of this, that, while their loneliness may be real, Their existence is not about being lonely. If it was, it would be more about them all organizing fun social functions to fix that. NOPE. It is about blaming women for their loneliness. I dont care who agrees.
What a lot of the people in this thread fail to realize is that a lot of these exact men are in the gaming community. Thats why my initial comment was "This is incel behavior" because it LITERALLY is. It's not new. Ive seen it before. A lot. Countless times. It's not women making these comments about feeling censored and it's surely not black people saying Lost Ark is blackfacing.. no it's a specific group. It's made obvious by the consistent berating of any female character that isn't fappable in the game they want to play.
What's even more alarming is the number of incel apologists in this thread. "You can't call them that because it offends me" types. IDGAF if you are offended. Again if you find yourself offended, I am glad because the message was probably meant for you to take offense. In my original post, I didn't call anyone here an incel. I pointed at the behavior of another forum group and recognized exactly what It was. Interesting because a lot of people here sure were getting invested as if I were talking about them directly.

If somebody hops online to constantly spew racism about minorities, guess what group that person now belongs to? Racists. Again they don't have to ask for a membership, it's automatically bestowed upon them.
It does not matter why they did it. If a group of people on the internet constantly act a certain way. then it is fair and reasonable to label them as such.

I find it very interesting (in a we should study this thought pattern type of way), that there are people in this thread including yourself, Ive seen use terms like SJW and Snowflake but can't for the life of them understand why a term like Incel exists.

Why?
Because a lot of this stuff, especially fantasy written 100 or 70 years ago in more racist or at least chauvinist times, when the overwhelming majority of those works were all about white male heroes, is very outdated.
No problem if you happened to have been a white boy when you read or watched that - very easy to identify with those heroes and feel vicariously heroic yourself.
But what about the girls and POC who read the same? The message was pretty clear: POC and girls need not apply for the role of main hero. Be happy in your supporting role of friend or sidekick of the hero if there was even one of those available.
What revision of lore does is that it lets girls and POC, especially the young kids, identify with and imagine themselves to be the hero more naturally. It does away with the chauvinist type casting of white males as the only or overwhelmingly more suitable heroic characters.
I read the insistence by some in keeping "true to original as written" as nothing more than an attempt to continue the white male supremacist tones in those ancient stories.
That making the changes in 2022 is also profitable and some producers and directors do it just for the profits is irrelevant to me. What I actually glean from that is that the timss have changed sufficiently to make those, sometimes mercenary modifications, more profitable and that is a damn good thing. It's called progress.
This Lost Ark thing is tiny potatoes in the grand scheme of attempting to be more inclusive with who you cast in the main hero role.
