Lost Ark's Early Access Peaks At Over 530K Concurrent Users On Steam | MMORPG.com

Lost Ark's paid early access is certainly proving popular as the servers today counted over 530K people playing the newly released ARPG MMO. While free-to-play, those who purchased founder's packs were able to get a head start early ahead of the "official" February 11th launch.

The review by mmorpg of the game is unfair and biased. Every other site gave it a much higher review and the game pretty much has exceeded all expectations and is an amazing piece of entertainment.

I never listened to reviews given by mmorpg. That's usually how they are. Unfair, biased, and a lot of times the reviewer hasn't put much time into said game. Great website, horrible reviewers.

Like New World the Amazon/Twitch hype is drawing in a lot of players who are new to the genre, but once the initial hype (and Twitch drops) dies down in a few weeks the playerbase will drop drastically. Hardcore fans of the genre will drift back to their PoEs. Mainstream themepark players will hit max level, get bored and uninstall. And streamers? When the drops stop and the viewers stop camping streams for drops and giveaways, bulk of them will move on to whatever the next fad is, while the rest will move back to their bread and butter games, the Dead By Daylights and Phasmaphobias and such.

Utter nonsense. There is no bread and butter game anymore, especially in MMO's, nobody mains a game anymore. People are now able to enjoy multiple games at the same time and are becoming more and more comfortale not "maining" a game after the WoW massive failure never ending cycle of disappointment and people trying out then immediately quitting ffxiv for free and got to see it for themselves that its super niche and made for specific types of people, usually the weebs who arent normal and are OK loving boys with bunny ears.

Considering the game has been released for years in other regions and the fact that everyone playing now paid to get in I'd say launch is a success. Seeing as Lost Ark is SK game which means the cost of development is lower the game likely has already paid for itself with other regions releases and this is just extra money.

The founder pack purchases were able to be stacked so 1 player could buy = $175-$190 max or $15 minimum.

530k players =

$15 = $7,950,000

$25 = $13,250,000

$50 = $26,500,000

$100 = $53,000,000

$175 = $92,750,000

$190 = $100,700,000

NME gave it 60, but it is scoring 81 on Metacritic; with only a handful of reviews in it is too early to say what the final MC score will be. I am not sure I would give an isometric MMO which only has click to move (sorry I don't use controllers) over a 7.0 to be honest but that's just me. The launch is a big success, but we will have to see how it goes from here.

Players will litteraly play anything that is new and pay to get it 3 days early. Shows how starved players are for something new.

I guess it doesn't matter whether players are staying or not, the "founders" packs probably paid multiple times for the westernization.

Isn't that what gamers are supposed to do get excited and play new games. I don't see why this is a negative. I'm excited and happy even though I will never get past the tutorial since I am still learning how to use the controller

And this game isn't made for "weebs"? Takes seconds to Google pictures of male and female characters wearing bunny ears, cat ears and googly eyes on their tits.

No idea if those cosmetics are available in this version, but it certainly shows that the game has the same general cosmetics design as many/most Asian games. If they aren't available yet you can be they will be in the future.

And so what if there are bunny ears, cat ears, and googly eyes? Don't buy them if you don't want them? How does that change whether the game is fun or not for 530k concurrent players?

i thought it was really weird this site was trying to put out a review of an mmo day 1 before anyone even logged in yet
thats not how reviews should work, should wait and see how the log in process, how the servers are being handled, the general ease of use for new players who are just now reading about it .

anyway I had a blast , like 7 AM just now going to get some sleep, like at level 43, absolutely no server problems, not kicked randomly for no reason like new world or wow or something.

and the review says "Incredibly boring leveling process" i disagree, game has some really cool moments and you aren't required to do side quests, you can do main story only and get to max level easy in a week, also the dungeons in each chapter are pretty good, with good boss fights

and this game has SO MUCH CONTENT

Yup gave up on controller and even though the stupid auto move key is only a toggle (why can't these fools design a proper force move key) I am going back to mouse and kb. Limit my game time so that my holding down the mouse button does not mess up my arm.

Hardcore Fans of this Genre dont play PoE because its a ARPG and not a MMORPG like Lost Ark. Iso view dont make a ARPG.

I'm one of those 'play it immediately people'. I preordered. I'm also quite angry today. Yes I'm drinking a bit, but all I've found is SERIOUSLY bad gameplay and ui trying to funnel me into an even more crappy story.
Been playing Far cry 6, and even its shitty mission to mission system is a far cry above this god aweful press G. Did you press G? I don't know, you dont know just press it again for MORE CRAP (STORY). Frankly I've barely sarted and I'm nearly bahing my head into my keyboard I hate it so much. I mean wtf.
