Heh, I can see where the sarcasm is coming from ("most immersive", "amazing game", "different from all other MMOs" etc) but the truth is that MO2 is for better or worse an upcoming game that many people know of and that will be released in January 2022, and not including it is a miss.
Agreed, but their recent announcement to migrate to UE5 for me means the real release is several years away.
I'll be very surprised if some key core functionality isn't missing such as the seige mechanics Slap mentioned.

MCV extrapolates that the formation of the new Manchester studio, which will bring the studio to over 1000 workers within five years, means that Star Citizen could be eyeballing a 2027 launch. Jones doesn’t exactly confirm that, but he does say that “by that time, [CIG] will be operating a very large MMORPG.”
As I keep saying: by the time it's done, SC could break records for concurrent players and it would still be considered a dismal investment of funds.
Half a million dollars and a decade in, and they're gearing up to add even more employees and work for another half decade. Lol.
Yeah, the entire thing is just bizarre.

That said, I was not aware of Embers Adrift, so thanks for that. I do applaud their philosophy even if I don't have high hopes for a full launch in my lifetime.
Waiting for a good new MMORPG is kinda like waiting for your ex-wife to return after she left 10 years ago......There are so many good single player and co-op games now that I just don't get excited about MMOs anymore.
I like the analogy of MMORPG are like a marriage and single-player games are like one-night stands.
For me, single player games are like life long companions. MMORPGs are like dysfunctional co-dependent jobs. It's like you think need them for some reason but can't ever figure out exactly why or what you're even doing there.
This has become very true for me as smaller multiplayer titles have begun including some of the best parts of MMORPGs, while the MMORPG genre has become rather stagnant.
Star Citizen its on a league of its own! It shouldn't be on the list with low tier sCaM gAmEs.
Your right, probably should be grouped the the other high tier scam games, but all of those have NFTs or crypto so until CR adds them SC can't be considered for this higher tier category.

Your right, probably should be grouped the the other high tier scam games, but all of those have NFTs or crypto so until CR adds them SC can't be considered for this higher tier category.

And it's playable for years now, such a second tier of scam compared with the tittles that give you the privilege of not having anything to play or hide behind NDA's.

I think Ship of Heroes is going to come out this year, probably should have been on the list.
Whereas there's no way we'll be seeing City of Titans anytime soon. I wonder if they got the two mixed up. At least Ship has a beta now? (The environments and costumes in Ship of Heroes look great, but the animations are TERRIBLE, even compared to old City of Heroes.)

Well, at least there was a title or two that I've not heard of. Even one that seems partially interesting, Rulers of the Sea. I wonder how that whole "educational about life in the 1700s" thing will work out for them. More importantly, I wonder how much of their "life in the 1700s" will be remotely accurate, and not based on movies.
It will be 0% based on movies. A lot of time is spend in doing historical research for everything. The founders are also big fans of history and the fans of the project are into it as well. So the historical accuracy of the project is quite important. I think you can find all the info you want on the website. The team is pretty transparent about everything. Or you could join the discord channel and ask away there.
