Tried some other classes but ended up on playing the Shadow Hunter as my 2nd class. Going to rock with the Bard and Shadow Hunter combo for now until I get deeper into the game and really understand how everyhting works.
I envy you people who can be nimble and deft at dodging. My dodge is rather weird as a gunlancer it is a backstep which has not helped me avoid much except perhaps back into the larger part of the boss's damage cone thereby ensuring I get whacked.
I finally logged off and checked the queue was in the 12k range. I did stay logged on for many hours. Got to level 14 and decided it was enough. Plus I valiantly saved Prideholme from demons and need my well deserved rest.
When you're playing though the game is very smooth so I guess that is a good point in the sense that the servers are not being stressed out and lagging by being overloaded.
Another thing to consider my Lost Ark friends is that male and female equivalents are not exactly the same. In fact when it comes to the end game, they play very differently.

I heard that about the male and female gunslingers, with the female being better with rifles and the male having better shotgun skills I think. I think in a game like this though, its more about your comfort level vs actual performance, especially since we dont have more of the other subclasses (that warrior hammer subclass looks so great! and I still want to try summoner). As I mentioned before, dont be afraid to get whatever you feel comfortable up as far as you want since its progress wont go to waste in the overall scheme of things. And always make sure you're researching something when you unlock your stronghold since it can take a lot of RL time (unless you pay money of course).
Really? Am I the only Scrapper? I've been having a lot of fun with this class.
You and a friend I know.

I'm playing a bard at level 26 now. I have not figured out how to dodge some attacks and i am squishy. I have a pretty big dodge, but some bosses have a huge AoE and i have been 1 shotted. I am using a lvling build which focuses more on dmg, but for mobile enemies they move out of my dng circle. I hope they make some sort of summoner or pet class, but my next char will probably be a paladin or the bow class.

Summoner Class incoming along with alot more cool classes.
THAT'S ENOUGH! Oh dare you call my lvl 19 bard a "faery like thing" ?
She IS NOT a fairy like thing, she is a full grown-up woman like thing! And you know it!
She has fully developed... artistic skills. And please show respect, and look at her in the eyes...............
Now let's talk about your choice of artillerist. With this huge gun of yours, isn't here something small, harmless, and tickling that you tried to compensate for?
Sorceress and Bard... I have a weakness for spell slingers.
The Sorceress has her best skills with long cast times though so you need to be good at picking your spots to let it fly but when she does she just melts whole screens.
The Bard does less damage but the skills with cast times are much shorter cast so you can get by being less optimal with your timing. She also has a beam of death (Soundholic) that can be specced for +700% damage by giving up the ability to rotate when you use it, but if you use that you just melt single targets like bosses better than the sorc.
I've grouped a couple times with some class that uses these ranged purple spinning blades (like 2 or 3 at once) that seem to destroy packs easily. Anyone know what class that might be and what the skill is? Not 100% sure but I think it's a male class.

That poll thing was so broken for me, so I somehow messed with the data as nothing got added, but a vote got through.
Deathblade (main) Artillery Paladin
I wanted to go with a high mobility class and chose Deathblade and am very happy with it.
I chose Bard as my first alt on EU Central, but really really disliked it. Chose artillery and LOVE the punchy style and the turret.
Paladin is great as it feels like the easiest class. High Dmg, big AoEs and barely no channel abilities. Nice for an alt.
Was beginning to wonder if anyone else went Deathblade (poll didn't work for me either).
I like the mobility and it's pretty satisfying to round up a large group of enemies, hit them with various whirly/slashy moves (Maelstrom, Spinecutter, etc), and then finish off a chunk of them with Death Sentence. I'm close, but not max level yet, so can't really comment on how satisfying it is at endgame.
Otherwise, started a Berzerker, but still in Prideholme, so a bit early to have much of an opinion on that one.

Right now Bard is the best PvE class followed shortly by Gunlancer. The rest are dependent on the type of dungeon/raid, in some places Paladin and Berserker shine, in others Sorceress and Gunslinger.
But don't let any of this stop playing the class you love. There are no bad classes, and there no wrong builds in this game. It is one of the things about Lost Ark that I really like. Back in my WoW raiding days, you either went with the one build for your class/role, or you didn't raid. This is a game that offers a lot of stuff mechanisms, but it also allows you to pew pew your brains out and have fun.

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
