    Good, they are getting bad. Reminds me of the early days of GW2. It isn't hurting the real population one bit; there is still a 15 min queue on my server during the weekend.

    Banning accounts means nothing in a F2P game, they need to ban IP's. Only would work on those not spoofing their IP but it is a start. When that starts failing, start looking for ways to ban by MAC addresses. A lot harder to spoof that one, is still possible but doubt many gold sellers would go through that much trouble.

    Most folks have dynamic IP's from their ISP that are on rotation so then you get peeps not being able to play cause they cycled into certain banned IP's.

    If someone could truly make an anti cheat / spambot app which actually provided real value I'm thinking game devs would beat a path to their door.

    Alas it is probably just a fairy tale or wishful thinking. The secret to such is probably along the lines of good KYC which I'd well support but would be an anthema to many others.

    Could start with NO ftp and NO free trials /period , that would eliminate alot of it .. Then charge 25$ or more sub , that would help ..  imo

    What would really hurt the gold sellers is banning the bank accounts, as in the account the botters send all their items/gold to in order to sell.

    It would be great for players who are banned to see real reason behind ban for example how they know that x player is cheating because all i see is "suspected botting accounts".

    Other thing is what happens to player who got banned but not cheated? Wait 2 weeks for support and then simply unban player without any compensation -.-

    ps: i dont play game just fascinated about these bans.

    If they would tell how they know how people bot/cheat it would also let the botters/cheaters know exactly what to do to prevent detection. That is the main reason why they will never disclose how their detection software works.
