This is super exciting for me because it would be a blast to play this with a controller and chill.

That's interesting news.  I tried the game some years ago, wanting to play on PC using a controller.  It wasn't quite completely unplayable, but it was pretty bad.  It needed to be able to use a thumbstick or D-pad for movement instead of being click to move and also click to aim while using the same thumbstick to awkwardly move a single mouse pointer for both.

Now I just hope that this doesn't mean "we got it to work with one particular controller and will artificially disable it on all others" as with Lost Ark's "controller support".

Everyone can beat Lost Ark's controller support if they alocate one developer to the task for at least one day. In LA they took 15 minutes to come up with something that kinda works for one class and then slapped it to every other. There are classes where both B and Y buttons pressed alone are allocated to switching between three weapons. Then there is "Striker" where pressing these buttons does NOTHING at all.
