As a one who actual played New World until recently I am on one side happy that they do still develop the game.
But there really isn't anything in the roadmap to bring me back, before autumn where a new zone is scheduled.
I have never quite understood the genres general idea about first developing a rather big world and at best also beautiful and engaging world to be immersed in, to then degenerate into focus on trying to keeping players with a grind focused raid endgame, gated by artificial requirements, and so much negating improving and expanding on the open world.
I really dislike all the trash talk on this game. It's not perfect but I think it's a good game and had a ton of potential. Hopefully they continue to improve it.
Much like how the road commission handles improvements of the roads around my county, I bet this roadmap is gonna end up with delays and not getting done nearly on time.
Honestly surprised there's a player base for it still. Everyone that I know, that played it, jumped ship when Lost Ark came out.
Pretty much happened to me but I've been 50/50 about playing it again. Looking for another alternative to play other than just World of Warcraft and not really wanting to dive into two subs.

Also, all that crazy 600+ score PVE gear grind... will it be allowed in arenas or capped? I'm concerned about their thought process.
