One of my most anticipated upcoming products is the PMDG 737NG for MSFS

I think I’ve bought the damn thing 3 or 4 times. Worth every penny and I can’t wait to spend that again for a new platform.

In about another 2 years MSFS will be where I need it to be.

I never quite managed to get into flight simulator; never had the skills for it.  That being said, I totally agree with you that MSFS has been the most consistent and best game around since the early 80s (Apple II+).  Once it made the leap into the IBM PC world, it really took off.  :)

It’s getting close to what I’ve always wished it could be.

Yeah, add Evil West and Suicide Squad to my list.

I had my doubts on the Suicide Squad, but that looks awesome.

I'm very interested in Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2.  I just hope it isn't the technical mess Bloodlines was.  Fingers crossed!

Also: Gotham Knights, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Redfall, and Alan Wake 2 (after all this time!).

    Total War : Warhammer 3
    Starfield

I am a scizo misanthrope. So one day I may go BANZAI on your post.
Have not yet though. Maybe there is hope?
Nah there is really none for me or the human race.

Probably Baldurs Gate 3. Available preview material about it frankly looks absolutely awesome. This could even reach the level of the original.

Also Vampire Bloodlines 2. Reports about its status sounded horrible, and the developer changed. But I'm quite hopeful that if anyone can fix what was done so far Paradox isnt the worst candidate. I doubt it will be as good as the original, but it certainly could be solid.

Knights of the Old Republic (Remake) - Well ... unfortunately, that seems to be just a moneygrab. I dont need prettier graphics on that one. But maybe I'm wrong ... I just dont see how.

Well uh... I've never felt more ambivalent about a game in my life.

Fire Emblem is my favorite franchise. Dynasty Warriors is my guilty pleasure. Fire Emblem Warriors is a game I've delightfully put over 350 hours into. I've been a one man campaign machine for a sequel for five years.

But Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes? Is it possible to be hyped and hurt at the same time? Because that's what I'm feeling right now. I want more Fire Emblem Warriors, but not as this single-game focused mediocrity. FE fans wanted and deserved a massive crossover featuring all of their favorite characters, locations, and battles. Instead Three Houses fans get to celebrate while fans of older games, like myself, were ignored again.

It'll probably be my favorite game of the year. But I feel so devastated at the loss of what could have been!

Oh I've totally forgotten Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen.

Dunno when it will release of course, or if it will release. It seems to be not dead yet, so - maybe ? Hopefully ? Hope dies last ?!?!?

I am 100% certain it wont be as good as Vanguard: Saga of Heroes because frankly it hardly tries to be a successor of VSoH in the first place. Its really mostly another EverQuest successor.

If I was a billionaire or something, I'd get me a good group of software developers and make an actual Vanguard successor. The way things go though, well, there really is no chance for that.

I agree that the unpatched game was intolerable.

However with the fanmade patch, the current version 11.0 was just release this January, I mean its not perfect, but perfectly tolerable.

I strongly recomment the plus patch because it has, among other things, less bugs.

The one thing thats really annoying is that you have to restart the game after two hours or so because there is a memory leak and the game runs out of memory if you dont restart. Thats a game engine bug though and not fixable with a fanmade patch.

Sounds like a good way to become a thousandaire.  My plan: wait until I claim an unshared mega lottery for the third time.  I'm only 3 short!

I dont think you understand what it means to live in capitalism.

Capitalism is socialism - but only for the rich.

So dont you worry about billionaires.

A billionaire who invests a couple douzen millions in a side project he does out of hobby will still be a billionaire, even if this side project turns out to be a complete failure.

Mark Zuckerberg just lost 31 billion dollars in a single day. Guess what, he's still a multibillionaire.

Okay, so apparently unpopular opinion, but I'm really digging Exoprimal.

It looks like the lovechild of Anthem, Earth Defense Force, and Dino Crisis, and that is exactly the kind of B-movie stupidity I'm here for.

I hope it offers third person as well. I play the original in third person, most of the time, unless for special occasions, especially using ranged weapons.

We dont know anything for sure about Bloodlines 2, I think. Paradox basically said they want it reworked, and that the release is in the distant future.

First I was awaiting Lost Ark. Now it's released and I spent sooo much time with it and the dailies have become tedious unfortunately. And then comes Elden Ring and I'm still playing it! Really the best game of all time for me personally. I've always loved Souls series and this last title is purely a masterpiece.

Right now, just Chrono Cross on the Switch. Not really an online game and not entirely new, but I played the heck out of it on the PS1 and it would be a blast to play it all over again.

    Why ?

I liked that Elden Ring apparently has a less than trivial combat system.

Otherwise I saw nothing that actually interests me. The story seems to be uber well hidden.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes hit me pretty hard back in February when I realized I wouldn't be getting my Path of Radiance characters and locations. But that game has seriously redeemed itself with some awesome trailers and an everyone-is-here approach to the Three Houses roster. I see no further reason for me to spite a game based on my third favorite FE just because it doesn't include my first two. Koei's put in far more work than they usually do, and I can't wait.

Gotta say I wasn't expecting to not have any new games of interest to me from SGF. Since I have zero interest in horror games or first person games, the show was so lacking in interest to me that the best moment of the showcase was a licensed One Piece JRPG that I already knew about.

As far as new games go, God of War Ragnarok and maybe Warhammer 40k Darktide. Still waiting for news about Hollow Knight Silksong.

I've been playing a demo of Terra Invicta.  So far, it reminds me of a very in-depth XCom -- aliens invade, and you've got to sort them out for all their tricks.  Control countries, do a lot of research, build space facilities, fight space battles.  There are 7 factions of humans that you can control.  The demo only runs for 7 years, and using a Paradox-like time control, about the fastest anyone has been able to run the demo has been 15 hours (RT).  The demo doesn't allow save games, so my longest I've made it has been into 2024.  Lots to do, but if you don't have the right people, you may find yourself limited.

So far, I've enjoyed what I've seen of the game.  Pretty graphics, lots of mechanics, and plays pretty solidly for a demo.  The tutorial is lacking somewhat; it's more a manual covering the UI.  That part is good, but it doesn't really cover important things, like 'how to' cause something to happen (like build a habitat), or explain how the various systems work.  But that's fodder for investigating the game.

The Demo was available through Steam's Next Fest.  (No idea how long the demo will be active).  Developed by Pavonis Interactive, published by Hooded Horse, and is supposed to be available sometime in 2023.
