Feels like dragons are a very popular selling point this year. End of Dragons (GW2), Dragonflight (WoW), Dragonslayer (Neverwinter). Whats next?

Do all these people working in these companies know each other, and spill the beans?

    "Hey, we're doing dragons."

"Oh cool, we should do dragons too."

"OMG YOU GUYS ARE DOING DRAGONS? HEY GUYS! THEY'RE DOING DRAGONS! WE NEED TO DO DRAGONS!"

The Chinese calendar has 2022 as the year of the Tiger and 2024 as the year of the Dragon so they are 2 years off.

It's more like, "What's the top guy doing? OK, let's do that too!" Following the what's going to be popular, bandwagon. Every business does it, cars, food chains, clothing, entertainment, they must think it's easier to follow the leader than to be the leader.

its mostly the same market research groups telling the companies to do the popular thing that surveys say everyone wants around the same time
