the game is actually pretty good, I played the beta and is really good to be honest
Good in what way? Character development? Pace of combat? Fluid reactions? Awesome story? Or good as in: I can click shit on my phone while I work. Or I can buy shiny stuff in their store? If this were put up against POE for PC.. how would it compare?

The more we support mobile, the more of this we are going to get. So it is up to us to decide if this is really what we want to play. It just seems we are sacrificing quality for convenience, and that is not a trade off I am willing to make.

It's not always only convenience. For example I'd take torchlight infinite over torchlight 3 on any platform. If I can cross play, even better.
Chances are I'll probably like Diablo immortal more than Diablo 3.

Who are the WE you are talking about? If you mean the collective we that spends billions on mobile games I bet we are gonna love it. If you are talking about the grumpy old MMO loving we then I bet a lot of we have already dismissed it as horrible without even trying it.
If you are talking about the we that I belong to, we will probably enjoy playing it on mobile but are concerned it will be sub-par on PC. We hope we are wrong about the PC version but also accept that we could be wrong about the mobile version being good. In either event, we will judge each version separately and abandon any version that sucks.
The streamer crowd that plays these ARPGs at very high levels over at Maxroll.gg seem to like it.
I won't be playing it on mobile because my phone's screen is modest and my tablet is old and used mostly as my book reader (love reading on tablets to the point that I just don't touch paper books any more) but from what I've seen and read it doesn't sound like a bad ARPG at all.
If there's a PC version (my bad for not reading properly - there will definitely be a PC client for it that also will be available on June 2) I'll definitely give it a look.

I think mobile games mostly get a bad rap because of the monetization more so than the actual game itself (which I am in the same camp of thought as well). Looking at games like Genshin Impact for example, amazing game that performs really well on both mobile and PC, its just the monetization is completely horrible. Diablo Immortal can be a great game by itself, but we really do not know how hard they will go on the monetization. There are very fair single player focused games like Another Eden as well. Who knows though. Path of Exile has done really well over all these years even though some people swear up and down that its p2w.
I will definitively try it. I pre-registered (even if it sounds useless).
I wish I had a good action game on my phone. However, I wonder how responsive and accurate it will be. I never been a fan of the touch interface when it is coming to action games.
Other than golf I hate playing games on my phone. Monetization is a huge issue. Clash of clans makes like 500 million / year. Thats like having 30 million wow subs / year. In 2020 candy crush pulled in over 2 BILLION $$ That is insanse money which equates to players spending $5.5 million / day. Hard to wrap my head around that. Hard to blame companies for trying to get a piece of that pie

Will make a ton of money
Will suck

What is considered "good" in today's market when it comes to games? 12 years ago it would have been considered "meh"?
Awesome. You can run it on your PC now!

And made a PC version in the meantime.

I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
lol people have probably played way worse games when they were on the train to work.

Well, spamming AoE should work pretty nicely...

Same. Love all the posters in this thread passing judgement on a game they've never played.
