The Star Wars: The Old Republic team continues updating the game with both new features and updates based on player feedback. The latest update introduces weapons into the Outfitter, renames several currencies, and includes some adjustments to Flashpoints and Operations.

    I haven't really followed the lore closely on this game, but is there any particular reason as to why they never added a new class or even new specializations for existing classes in all of the time this game has been around?

    New class would mean a new "fully voiced" 1-50 storyline. Too expensive.

    Maybe note worthy, starting May 3rd there's a week long double XP event.

    Evolving the classes could be an option though, players love that feeling of "advancement".

    They just revamped all classes with combat styles, probably not getting more than this.

    They just revamped all classes with combat styles, probably not getting more than this.

    Tried the new combat style system out. It feels like you have waaaaay longer between new ability unlocks than before. Fine for existing max levels but for new players its kinda lame to go 5-6 levels without anything new.

    Not saying it is a good thing, but pretty sure the update was geared toward max level players anyway.

    Yea my max levels are just fine. I don't think they played through a 1-50 campaign on a new character in testing though.

    Cosmetic Weapons from the same Category. I wish, after all those years, that they would let the Commando choose between a Cannon or Blaster Rifle without a straight up DPS loss.

    The Blaster Rifle is such an iconic Weapon in Star Wars and yet it only get's half baked utilized by 2 Melee classes.
