Alternative MMORPGs while waiting for Pantheon

What already existing MMORPGs do you think get closest to what Pantheon offers ?


Candidates I'm aware of:

EverQuest / EverQuest 2 (obviously)

Runescape

Black Desert Online (has aiming for ranged weapons though)

Embers Adrift (soon-ish ? maybe ?)

    Project Gorgon maybe, though I've read that is more like AC1 I think.

    There is a Vanguard emulation server though it doesn't have a large population. It would probably be more of a solo  experience though I bet the people running it might do groups if  you want to reach out.

    I don't think Black Desert Online is anything like what Pantheon is aiming for.

    If you get involved on the Disco there are some players grouping

    I'm going to be honest, I am not 100% sure what Pantheon will in fact proved as far as a game experience, so, I could not pick out some current game that might simulate it.

    Going by what they have said and the little we have seen of it, it does seem to have alot of EQ influence....SO much remains to be done though we really don't know what we will get if anything.
