This shit is like a Happy Meal version of Diablo; meaning it's Diablo in name, but not a real Diablo game. Gave me no Diablo vibes. Even Deckard Cain looked like a lost tourist.
I certainly feel like, by the time they make any of these improvements, most PC gamers will have moved back to D2:Remastered or D3.
I am not entirely sure, based on videos I've seen and what I've read, why a PC gamer would stick with D:I over the other two save for when they're taking a shit.
Mitch as you mentioned before you only intend to do DI as free to play, this is a rather rich list from someone who is not going to pay.
That said I note "playing - and possibly even paying for", but that takes me on to you ignoring the Cash Cow in the room, the abusive monetarization. I realise there are two other articles on that point so maybe MMORPG.com is trying to be balanced here?
Anyway do keep us up to date on how long you stay in it, that's one of the things a dinosaur like me can't get my head around, if you know you will only play a month or two in a rotation with other games why bother?
# 1 Remove the crappy monetization and make upgrading gear possible without spending over 10k on the game. Nothing wrong with grinding for upgrades and gear but making it so that you will most likely never see the top gear without spending absurd amounts of money is bad for everyone except the streamers who use others money and will most likely will be the last ones playing the game in a few months.
# 2 - whatever don't matter till that number 1 is addressed.
i play a lot of mobile games and its very easy to ignore the monetization, just like playing cod or any game nowadays, theres thousands of dollars in cash shop things to buy, and yeah its very easy to ignore. you go down that route and literally every game has it, and youre choosing only to cry about this game in particular. probably because blizzard is the whipping boy. this is the entire industry's problem.
I am enjoying the game more on my Samsung Tab S7+ than on my PC. The controls are easier and the game plays great. I ignore the stores, etc. I am level 41 on a toon and actually made the list of quick clears of a dungeon solo w/o any of the P2W items.
This P2W is no different than SC selling pixels. If one is bad, why not the other?
This industry's problem is people that are psychologically weak, make excuses and fall prey to or say it's easy to put up with this kind of crap monetization.
Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
7: Get rid of the predatory F2P monitization model and make it P2P like every other PC Diablo game in existence.
Something I'm curious about right now: If this game ends up being successful (and there's little reason to think it won't be outside of the various net echo chambers), what place will D4 have in this world? Will they ever release another B2P Diablo if this game makes more money than a B2P version could?
I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
Nice to see Raax do a P2Win video. He's not just an elite player who understands all this stuff well. he also explains things very clearly in a way everyone can understand,

Good games in this genre are a dime a dozen. There is no shortage of content, and no need to resort to playing this absolute trash fire.
Only mobile game I play in Clash of Clans. I now play Gamepass games on my phone when out and about. Its the only way to mobile game any more. Almost all games have too many pay walls or ads that break game play so much you lose your mind.

I think you'll find most who think one is bad do think the other is bad, too.
Agreed, but selling pixels is not as bad in my book as gambling mechanics which can cost you thousands for potentially no return.
Well both are selling pixels... but in one you know what pixels you will get for your money and the other is a "surprise mechanic'.
Wait, I'm genuinely confused... Based on the track record, which set of pixels includes the surprise mechanic, the lootboxes, or the ships that get reworked into completely different items?

Another reason I think the core fan base will quickly move back to D3/D2:R.
They didn't ask for this. Based on the videos we've seen regarding the math, I don't think they will want more of this. I think the monetization will see the PC side dry up hella fast, while the mobile side will make its money like mobile apps do.
And that would be the best case, realistic scenario. Because if they get a ton of cash from PC gamers for the MTX included, you can bet your ass D4 will try to push the boundary that direction.

What helps most with input lag.
1. Go to Settings.
2. Click on Controller.
3. Scroll down to Thumbsticks.
4. Set "Skill Aim Deadzone" and "Movement Deadzone" maxed out to 100.
I still have problems with controller bugging out and the thumbsticks stop working occasionally. Have to log out/back in to fix.

Seriously from what I have seen no crests means you will get no loot or very little crap loot from dungeons.
