Probably be about like the last bot ban wave they had. Where their concurrent numbers went down to 150k and then over the next couple days just ballooned right back up to 800k.
Never seen a game with a bot problem so obvious to the outside observer.
Obvious perhaps, impactful to other players, not so much.

It reminds me a lot of what ArcheAge went through; Trion could never get a real handle on the bots- they'd do a big ban wave and they'd come right back.
I feel like SquareEnix with FFXIV has the right idea on bot/RMT ban-waves; they do one once a week; and it seems to do the job.
Doing one big massive ban wave every so often just doesn't seem to work. smaller ban waves more frequently has proven to be the right idea, but almost no one does it the way SquareEnix does.

lol the trolling. a couple of those aren't even trying hard.
There were some funny ones, but some of the "genuine" ones are on a level with "my dog ate my homework", it was like being back at school.
But naturally you will have genuine cases where players who should not be banned are, there is no way round that and the fans have to realise it is going to happen for the game to get past this.

Considering perhaps up to 85% or more bots are zerkers, with similar being sorcs it narrows the devs search parameters quite a bit.

I saw an official reply on the official forums that the bans are for 3 days. That's pretty pointless.
I usually can find some enjoyment in watching train wrecks from a distance. but in this case their (Smilegate and AGS) incompetence is just frustrating. SE blocked the sales of FF14 in addition to locking servers and all they were dealing with was huge queues and not enough servers. LA has much bigger issues in this regard and they refuse to take the necessary steps to clean up and lock servers. They also refuse to permaban RMTers.
As a gamer I want to see game devs find real solutions to botting and RMTers.

AGS doesn't have a good track record, hard to say how much this can be laid at their door, but for me anything they now do has a question mark over it.
