I hope this time the game have a good publisher, since Archeage is a really fun game, very complete but have been in the hands of bad publishers sadly.
Naw, the original game's design is flawed, doesn't matter who publishes it, XL Games has always been the ones ultimately in charge and to blame for the mess it always was.

Nah, the game is amazing the class system, the combat, the sailing, the game is really good

So you are one of the 100 people who like it then. Last time I logged all I saw was a bunch of afk and random trolls spamming dot ru hentai links in chat.

Bad publisher As I said, that is not a problem of the game itself, every game have bots etc, the problem are the publishers that do not control that, is not hard to understand something this simple.

Total nonsense. At NA launch the game was rife with speed hackers and bots, traveling under the world to gather, automatically buying up any availabile parcel, the infamous tree hack, griefer's could block pathways with carts, all of this was XL Games fault, not Trions.
The daily limits on energy which of course could be overcome in the cash shop was just the tip of a terrible P2W system, again all codes into the game be XL who also called the shots on how they would be implemented.
The new game will be just as much if not more of a crap show as the original and just as successful I'm sure.

The biggest problem that Trion had with ArcheAge is that they could not do anything to the game at all without XL Games' permission.

The problem was Archeage was an overhyped piece of garbage that some people actually thought was a good game because they were being told it was....it was never a good game but hype can be a very strong persuader.

I think because I started playing long after the initial hype and I never took part in the PvP I found the game fun. I loved the crafting and delivery system. I made nice wagons and I tried to make different specialities to deliver them as far as I could before they deteriorated.
The ships were cool and I always tried to get a seat. I didn't want to PvP so I never bothered to craft a small boat because you were free game in water. I stuck to all the areas that were free from PvP or semi free. I only quit because the gathering hurt my hand and wrist from its repetitive nature.

off topic but have you tried A Tale in the Desert just for the crafting ect? Even though the graphics are dated, it's a nice change of pace and kind of relaxing to play.
Player in Asia love this game. Until now a lot of Korean play this game. A lot of western player doesn't know about bungalow house in the ocean and seaweed farm. I guess it is all about the culture. Most western doesn't eat seaweed. If you eat oyster and seaweed you gonna love this game.
At the kernel of Archeage is one of the laziest, most nonsense MMORPGs I have ever played. It just has no idea what it wants to be or how to be it in a way that doesn't make everyone else quit.
The thing is, it's surrounded by some of the most original and fun crafting and social features in any MMO I have ever played. It's also like every piece of software I made as a kid - features piled on features for no reason other than you could.
I 100% believe that it's systems could be reworked and made into a great game without Jake Song's lack of overarching vision and predatory publishers.
I guess we'll find out when Ashes of Creation finally comes out...

Same as lost ark and all other big mmorp's, even wow, ffxiv and all these mmorpg's, you are just talking nonsense or you are a hater or just you haven't played the game since it make not sense what you are talking, hack, bots etc are publishers faults not the developers, because they can just ban them, there are "anti-cheap" but these don't works as I mentioned, even big games like wow are full of hacks and bots. the P2W is the publisher fault too since they are the ones that sell these things, XL are just the developers and they ofc will put in the game what the publisher want just like lost ark or other games, you just don't know anything about this it looks clearly.

You what mate?
I mean I eat both LOVE oysters however that never equated to my love of ArcheAge at any point.
There was lots to enjoy but even more to hate. Only so much fun can be had in games that thrive on zergs & cash which I didn't mind spending.
By the third fresh start you couldn't help but feel like a fool for trying again though - however I still miss the farming & sea content.
ArcheAge itself had some amazing mechanics, implementation of some of those mechanics and the integration of the revenue generation and making progression so heavily dependent upon real money, yet the RNG SO iffy on the return of investment is where XLGames f'd up. Players in their markets not only are used to this, they seem to like it. Some of the MOST fun I have ever had in an MMO was in AA. I got myself to an epic buff (legit) with legendary weapons, mostly on my own and not spending near as much as any of my mates (lots of whales) BEFORE ArcheAge's "NGE" type revamping, was a satisfying, as well as extremely frustrating at times, experience. XLGames embracing NFT's with ArcheWorld is beyond maddening....WTF good will you owning a NFT house be if you can't login and grab a plot to place it on?! They have 1 title, in what way would players be motivated to own digital assets under their watch, WTF is anyone going to do with them?! ...../sigh
