A pvp arena/mechanics like in Diablo Immortal would make this game a perfect ARPG for me

They haven't added new 'content' since reaper of souls expansion.

If they weren't making bank on Diablo 3 with their cash shop in china, we would have offline mode and mods.

Reminder Diablo 3 has full offline mode on the following consoles:

    Nintendo Switch
    Xbox One
    Xbox Series X/S
    Playstation 3
    Playstation 4
    Playstation 5

The ONLY reason we don't have offline mode on pc is because blizzard is still milking money from it on the Chinese Diablo 3 Cash Shop.

They originally had PvP arena type things before the game came out. I remember that being a huge selling point for me and my friends, we wanted WoW style arenas but with Diablo mechanics and that's exactly what it looked like. Then the game came out and they said PvP was delayed, then it just never happened.

I'd say they've added some decent things since RoS namely the cube(a leftover from the abandoned second expansion), followers and this seasons new endgame arena.  As well as rebalancing and such.  I'm actually surprised they spend time on it.

I definitely do not believe we would have offline mode on PC.  Blizzard would never spend any money/time on it.  They see zero benefit in it for themselves.

D3 with mods could have been pretty amazing.  But they aren't even supporting mods much at all for D2R.

So the content creators seem pretty excited about season 27.  I'll once again play it for the seasonal rewards and I'll surely quit as soon as that is done.

My biggest issue with the game is that it's designed solely around group play for grinding paragons.  But another massive issue is that you get the gear you want way too quickly.  Like a couple of days in some cases.  All you are doing then is trying to find better rolls on those same items or augmenting the items you have.

I'd actually be fairly excited if they added a Solo Self Found ladder so you could at least be separated on the leaderboards from the group meta.  But they refuse to add a SSF sadly.

so i will go out on a limb here and say . I will refuse to buy into any thing that blizzard puts out for a few reasons. the way they released the diablo mobile game. I should not call it a game cause its just a money pit.

The culture was so bad at blizzard we all had to read about just how bad they are, so I cannot support people that act like they do . For me the greed is just overwhelming here and I will stay away dont care how good it is

Yes if you're playing something built around a set but it ain't that quick with LOD builds which is what I've been playing almost exclusively since they added that gem a couple of years ago.

They are competitive "S" tier builds for a few classes (LOD Twisters and WOL - two of the builds I play routinely.)

Ancients are not just gravy and augmentable, they actually double the damage bonus and leveling the gem itself to 99 for the full bonus also takes time.

It's not just a matter of getting your 6 set pieces from Haedrig like it is for seasonal set builds.

Totally agree on your other point about separate SSF leaderboards.

Fair enough.  I don't stick around long enough to see LoD versions at the top of the leaderboards.  Both of those builds also have A and B tier, according to maxroll, non LOD versions of the build as well you can use on the way.

Besides not having SSF, two of my bigger issues are haedrigs and challenge rift rewards to start the season.  I don't think those benefit the game as much as they hurt them as they simply reduce the need to find gear to use early on.
