It's finally happened. You've crashed landed on a desert island with your trusty laptop and a stable satellite internet connection. Choose the three MMORPGs you brought with you while stranded.
Comments
Lotro - Best Questing
TSW - For something with a unique feel.
AoC - Honourable mention for starting you out crashed on a desert island.
Anarchy Online - My first love.
Tabula Rasa - That means it didn’t get shut down. Ha!

Kyleran on yours sincerely
'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'
Gdemami absolutely not being an armchair developer
Turtle WoW
Perfect World Classic
OSRS
SWG
Project 1999
Ahhh Ryzom one of the most well hidden gems.
But, eh - you're forgetting about the transdimensional wormhole satellite data service you signed up for before you left. At worst you have a 55 ms ping.
Of course, because you're out of your normal service area your bill will be triple the normal cost.
You could contact customer service, but in order to change your service address you have to sign a new contract. You have to ask yourself, would it be worth the hassle?
Enjoying the conversation all, thanks for keeping this very real scenario grounded to reality! Happy posting!
LOL the MMO
EQ 3
Star Citizen - Alpha 138.61
“Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?”
― CD PROJEKT RED
Vanguard SoH - Original (without all the problems) Not the incomplete emulator
Rift
FF14
WoW
New World
Nostalgia I would have to pick
DAoC around SI launch time period
CoH around release launch time period
WoW around release launch time period
LOTRO - questing/world
FFXIV - Never played it but if I'm on an island with free time like that I would play something I've never played with lots of content.
Star Citizen - I'm stuck on an island, I've got years until I die, I've got time to hope to see beta before said death and I can log in and play while it's building to whatever it will build toward.

2024: 47 years on the Net.
World of Warcraft, Rift, Guild Wars 2, The Old Republic were all too laggy to be called playable.
Really any of the faster combat/action MMORPGs wear nearly unplayable on a Sat connection and played better on Dial up lag wise. Sat was great foir getting the updates downloaded tho.
CoH (X)
WoW
New World
Proud MMORPG.com member since March 2004! Make PvE GREAT Again!
GW2
OSRS (I better have RuneLite)
Actually third pick is a tie between OSRS and ESO. I'd have to do a hard think about that.
