I remember someone turning me on to RS beta back in 2000 or 2001 when another game we were playing was down for an extended period. I remember thinking the skills were cool, but it's slow and ugly - who was going to want to play this?

They are kicking around a number of new server ideas including, gasp, a server with extra challenge. (But no extra rewards it seems)
But as you might guess, it looks as if players who were polled favored a more casual mode server, which gave bonus rewards too ....go figure.
Extra rewards trump's extra challenge almost every time, it's all about the ease of progression, not so much how one gets there.
So others can go build their empires, me, I just wanna hit the mega millions or Powerball.
How about extra challenge With extra reward?
Strangely enough there didn't seem to be mention of such, but perhaps I just overlooked it.
But everything was just poll questions to select players, no indication if any of the many server options they are exploring will be ever implemented.
As pro challenge as I am I would say the two go hand in hand, just make sure the rewards are in different areas to what you get doing the easy mode option.

I guess I was wrong about that...
