    I keep seeing from everywhere, including devs, that steam isn't compatible with existing accounts. This is false.

    -provider Portal as a launch line allows you to log in as per normal.

    In Steam if you right click the game and go to properties you can add a launch line. If you enter -provider Portal when GW launches you won't get the default create an account launcher you will get the standard login screen.

    The catch at this point is that anything you buy via stream won't work in that account. You still need to go through the GW site. Though my gem purchase through the game worked.

    I can't see any reason why they would close this method? Maybe because of Steams commissions?

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    Of course I would like to win myself :-P I am so bored of all MMORPGs at the moment, but I tried GW2 a few weeks ago and had fun. Now I would like to play it on steam and start may be a new "Character life" and find new buddys for a long time.

    I've literally just started two days ago and would really love the collection. I'm very thrilled at the gameplay and fluidity of Gw2. Can't wait to see the outcome of this. Good luck to everyone and good hunting in-game.

    I wish everyone good luck.

    Going to be honest, I was just looking at this whole thing with GW2 on other social media, and it's insane

    So much "OMG Leave the New Players Alone! Only I know how to truly help them!"

    It's some of the most painful cringe I have read in a while, which is why I have not been here, just soo much, drama and humor, I was not sure what to expect with the Steam Launch, but I admit, this was not it, and I am, I hate to say it, I am enjoying the Drama Theater.
