I really like this game until I start trying to be productive. The grind for advancement is awful for more casual players. I might go back again at some point but it always ends the same way. Frustrating
“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”
I really wish it was a non space simulator game. I would like a good scifi MMO, but I don't like flying ships to be the focus.
If you are okay with private servers of abandoned games, SWG Legends, SWGEmu, and SWG Restoration are all good options for a sci-fi MMO.
Legends is pretty sandpark-y with the Bespin content and NGE. Restoration is a split between the sandbox of Emu and the theme park content of Legends, but has a smaller population than the other two.
Best of all, they're all truly "F2P" with the devs running on donations.
