I returned for a first impressions gameplay review in 2021 to see if old school RuneScape is any fun.
What did I miss?
I'm incredibly late to this but yes, it is fun. Many of the gameplay mechanics are actually dated but due to nostalgia factors, the game is something awesome to get back to every now and then. For some reason, the game reminds me of Ragnarok Online - RO is kind of like the Asian counterpart of OSRS (not in aesthetics but in game publication and marketing).
In case anyone stumbles into this thread looking to start playing OSRS, this is a pretty nifty guide:
Like many people, I haven't played this kind of game in a long time. Due to high employment, there is simply no time to engage in such a hobby. But I still like to play Farm or small strategies from time to time, which are aimed at the constant passage of the game map. It reminds me of games like https://www.oneangrygamer.net/2021/05/the-top-6-old-school-runescape-minigames-worth-the-grind/, which we downloaded as children. I also like to play anything that has to do with cars. These games tend to develop strategic thinking, so I would like to find something similar. Maybe you have some tips?
