This game has had more articles on this site than it has players! ?
Unfortunately how many MMORPG's have even released this year. Its like releasing a movie during covid. Even a bad movie will get all the attention if there is nothing else to talk about.
I have nothing against the game and for a change I don't wish it fails, but I really don't see how the game is going to stay afloat when it's B2P + expensive subscription + low playerbase + niche mechanics.
Unless they change their business model, I don't see the game surviving. I think even Mortal Online 2 and Wild Terra 2 are only B2P, which puts them in a lot better spot. Personally, if an MMORPG is the perfect game for me - does everything the way I've imagined it in my wildest dreams, if it's subscription-based, I wouldn't touch it. If it's B2P, I'd buy a lot more, like I did for LOTRO when I still played it - I just had the level 1-50 content free from a giveaway, then I bought the Expansion trove that was 6 expansions from Moria to Mordor, before I even completed half of that, they made half of it free to 95, I didn't mind, still bought Morgul and 3 Peaks then I won Gundabad from a giveaway and played through the whole game despite its issues and I don't regret spending money on it even though I probably won't be playing it again due to its technical problems...
And I find this to be better investment than subscriptions, because if I wanna go back to LOTRO, I can and I will have all the content behind my back and if I want to experience it again, I can do it for free, but with subscription, even if you bought a 60 EUR game, without the subscription you have jack squat. It's a stupid practice and I think it prays upon people with disposable income and they defend it like it's no big deal, because they also pay 15 different other useless subscriptions and it's OK for them.

That's why I bought Archeage Unchained only to have it become chained again. I find alot of these games are conveniently changing publishers I think just too have people have to buy the game again.

I haven't heard of another game going from B2P without subscription to F2P with subscription. If you have other examples of that list them.
ArcheAge was also dead before it became published by Gamigo. When Kakao Games started publishing it, it wasn't going to be better. The game was already a red flag under Gamigo.

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
