Played it during NDA. Had a displeasure of coming across Ubisoft support team and their moderators. And I honestly hope their games and projects die before reaching the public.
Wouldn't recommend this or any other of their games to anybody. #GoodRiddance?
I mean, it has big chances to flop hard, even after all the delays to make it a better game...
..but at the same time, we do have New World as an exemple ( a positive one ), which was in the same spot ( or worst ). So, while the future is unsure, there are chances that Ubisoft will actually deliver a good game here, because we really need a good pirate game, aye?
Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy? Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
Early 2023-2024 could still mean it's being released this year. In some places, notably governments, the fiscal year is 01 April-31 March so early 23-24 might mean between April and June.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
IF this was a RPG instead of a pvp MMO it would sell like hotcakes.
As I understand it, the emphasis was changed from PvP mmo to more of a survival game, where PvP is only one option, not mandatory and was made some time ago. That presumably accounts for much of the delay as it involves major redesigning of the core gameplay.
Well, after the video's they released of basically a pirate loot-box game I'm not surprised.
the game is not dead-in-the-water IMO. They have a fantastic idea that appeals to a lot of players.
Let's just hope they can move focus from repetitive monetisation activities and focus on core pirating gameplay and story with lore.
I mean, to not have a deck battle when taking ship and moving straight to loot-box cutscene is a disgrace. They managed it on Black Flag so why not here.
Long live subscriptions to live service, rather than loot-box and season pass.
'We have decided to postpone its release in order to have more time to showcase a much more polished and balanced experience and to build awareness.'
You fu$%^# wot m8!? LOL....ok, look Ubiflaccid ..... just finish Beyond Good and Evil 2 (Space pirates) and this (Sea Pirates), and I will likely give you my money FFs
