Someday, maybe, but only if I could join up with a good crew, definitely not for casual soloing.

I always liked the art-style of Albion & that Crowfall but since they both are(were) focused on PvP I never tried neither.

WASD movement is a must for me, unfortunately. I like the game itself I just don't like click to move. I feel so separated from my character.

If open-world, sandbox, full-loot MMORPGs are your cup of tea

They aren't. Thanks for putting this in the second paragraph so I could skip the tl;dr part.

I must confess... I hate Albion map design. The graphics I think are beautiful! I'm talking about how biomes are divided and how the other continent is just a bigger copy of the original... Is it a bigger Death Star? I know the reason for this, but I think it removes any prospect of immersion and progression between biomes. https://www.albiononline2d.com/en/map

I agree that the map design is one of the worst parts of the game. Unfortunately, I think it's necessary due to the scale of some of the fights and trying to reduce lag similar to EVE Online. 50v50 fights are already laggy, so I can't imagine the game trying to process 20+ 50v50 fights at the same time in the same zone.

Still a good game to play. I have enjoyed it as a PvE player!

Same for me. I really gave the game a fair shake on multiple occasions, but it just feels too shallow and confined because of the world design. Really didn't like the controls either. I honestly don't know why it's so popular, but to each his own.

I am very curious as I wish to do the same that is play it as a PvE player. What do you do in the game if you don't mind elaborating.

The game is interesting, being handed a mobile phone to play is nauseating, play it on the PC!

Its free, what other game can you play thats somewhat current, better quality AND completely free?  Its leading the pack for Free games.

When the game wasnt free it has 450 players.

One of the few MMOs I would dare play these days. The art and design of the game is amazing and the game is really fun (they could do a better job on the outfits which are pretty ugly). But PvP is not for me anymore. If one day they add more PvE content and in such a way I can play only in gardening / fishing / mining without having to fight often something similar to the Weapon / Armor Craftsman, Tailor, Technician and Chef classes from the Angels Online game that only serve to create potions , armor, weapons and tools and move the market I will play with great pleasure.

Ty ty. And seriously for a mobile game, which face it that is what albion is with it's camera angle, not being able to swim and fly, boring computer generated dungeons, simple tedious gathering, boring landscape with barely any animals or personality... I could go on, Chimeraland is an unbelievable game. The only knock I can think of against it is it's so in depth and complicated that you could learn astrophysics in with the same time and brain power, but it's amazing. You don't need to pay anything (maybe at endgame that changes but there is so much to do and explore before then I haven't come close yet. You can apparently even explore space. Originally I was put off by the amount of player built houses littering the land. Then I learned (around level 50) that you can destroy old player built houses if then haven't been on In a while and level up your siege skill in the process. I can't believe they aren't promoting it. It's almost as If they feel it's not aggressively monetized so they aren't focusing on it, but they should. Best most in depth game I've played since early wow, maybe gta online. Stunningly beautiful, oozes personality. Even the cities have grown on me ( though they aren't developed enough imo. But albion's cities are boring garbage anyway. Amazed that this is a mobile game

I have considered it but the Steam reviews showed mixed, it is good to have players keeping us informed though. It had two reviews on MC, they were not good, but just two reviews means there is not enough to form an opinion. I have noticed that smaller MMOs that do not do well initially seem to fall under the radar, and they can make a comeback.

I periodically go back to Albion.  I like it and it seems very active, which is a surprise because of the PVP focus.  I'll keep coming back and seeing what's going on.  They seem to have very active developers and they seem to make mostly good decisions with udpates.

This statement is incorrect, I have played off and on for a total of 3 months and have my own guild of one person. Total silver is 160 million and about another 100 million in gear, all solo.
You can casually solo in EVE as well, but in doing so players definitely miss out on what truly makes EVE different from other games, the territory control wars and all that goes with them.

I believe Albion to be quite similar, sure, it might be somewhat fun to PVE only, but I would want to be part of the greater picture.

    YMMV
